knowitall Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Mark Davies has returned to Wolves. Leicester are still trying to bring him back on loan. I believe this will not happen. I think either wolves will play him or theres a Championship club wanting to loan him. I hope I am wrong. DJ Campbell. Leicester are still paying 70% of his wages. Blackpool will not sign him unless he takes a 60% cut in wages. HAHA. So he is loan out in the hope another club will want him. Barry Hayles is back at the club. Red card at Cheltenham means he returned back. Not trying to bring anyone in but looking just in case. Trying to loan out fringe players. Both Lee Cox and Rowe-Turner close to going on loan to League 2 sides. Levi Porter said. "I thought he (NP) thought I had already left the club" When asked about his surprised listing on the bench. He is now training with the first team squad. FA CUP match with 7 subs. Yet no goalkeeper listed on the bench. Reason simple both Logan and Pentney Cup-tied. Henderson still injured and Ciask was ill. So we had no back-up keeper at the club. Had a very long chat with Tunchev Saturday evening. He expects to stay all season and as long as we get into the Championship He expects to stay that season too. Matty still injured.
harpendenfox Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 thanks for the update. Any idea what DJ's weekly wage is - clearly it's high, and he deserves about a tenth of it.....??
StanSP Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Wow, lot of disappointing stuff there. Matty still injured?? Any news on when he could be back?? And hope Tunchev stays, most likely we will get back up anyway. Not fussed about the no-goalkeeper issue. As long as Martin doesn't get injured!!
Alexikokopops Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Had a very long chat with Tunchev Saturday evening. He expects to stay all season and as long as we get into the Championship He expects to stay that season too. Well that's a nice positive. Lets hope we get to the Championship, ey?
Fosse Boy Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Disappointing news about Davies, but glad to see that Super Sasho Tunchev wants to stay.
dandannieldanok Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Not trying to bring anyone in but looking just in case. Surprised we're not trying to bring anyone in with Campbell off and Davies unlikely to return.
JakeShingler Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 How do you know all this? Pretty bad news all round then.

Lillehamring Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 most of that is interesting - but it is the tunchev element that is really exciting... imagine, a long chat, he must be learning english, maybe he'll be captain next season!!!!

Ashley Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Thankyou for the update Knowitall Shame about Davies I liked him, Milan get your Cheque book out!
J.Lisemore Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Gutted Davies might not stay we have surely got to sign someone with DJ Campbell gone...leaves just Fryatt,Howard and Dickov for senior strikers
Candidcamera Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Gives the youngsters a chance. Please no Dickov again. Chambers and Gradel with Porter moving up the pecking order. I will be surprised if we don't get a striker in the window.
FoxesFan123 Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 Gutted Davies might not stay we have surely got to sign someone with DJ Campbell gone...leaves just Fryatt,Howard and Dickov for senior strikers And Hayles
Thracian Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 For me the alarm involves a striker option. If either Howard or Fryatt are injured/unavailable I cannot imagine Dickov or Hayles carrying the flag for any great length of time. So far they've seemed ike clockwork toys that are fast running down and there's no key to wind them up again. You live in hope of course but expectation is quite another matter. Still no reason for why Porter was asked to train with the kids in the first place but I still see it as only a slender thread of hope for the lad. If his form pre-season meant nothing I cannot imagine what he could do to state his case more strongly. As others have said. Pretty depressing all round, apart from Porter. Perhaps Pearson is playing it cool.
Brainy Posted 8 January 2009 Posted 8 January 2009 So just Dickov Fryatt & Howard up front then? Unless im missing somebody obvious out.
