Thracian Posted 14 January 2009 Posted 14 January 2009 Knowitall how long is Kisnorbo out for now, this has taken on slightly more importance for some reason If Tunchev is out long term we need a new centre-half who can pass the ball out of defence.
Jimmy Posted 14 January 2009 Posted 14 January 2009 If Tunchev is out long term we need a new centre-half who can pass the ball out of defence. well we need summat, as of right now our available CB 's are Hobbs, Morrison & Worley
Lovejoy Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 well we need summat, as of right now our available CB 's are Hobbs, Morrison & Worley Morrison was excellent tonight I thought, should slip straight in.
Jimmy Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Morrison was excellent tonight I thought, should slip straight in. yes but that still leaves us short of cover
Guest Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Morrison was excellent tonight I thought, should slip straight in. Agreed, he was good tonight, but I still think he's a little inconsistent. Understandable as he's still only young. There's been games where I thought the pairing of Hobbs and Morrison lacked that composure that Tunch brings to the fold. If Tunch's injury is long term then I would think Morrison is immediate first choice, but we could still do with cover if that's the case.
Lovejoy Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 IF he was fit I'd have Kisnorbo as cover for these two, with Worley as 4th choice. Also I believe Berner and Edworthy can play centre back.

Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Mattock is definitely staying, I was sat in front of his agent, dad and grandad last night. Wolves came in for him in the summer and mandaric rejected it. He's enjoying it here apparently and won't leave until the summer if at all. He likes being around his family and would only be interested in going to the premiership.
knowitall Posted 15 January 2009 Author Posted 15 January 2009 Knowitall how long is Kisnorbo out for now, this has taken on slightly more importance for some reason Asked him that question on Tuesday. His answer was "when I am ready" I asked when will that be and again he said "when I am ready" He is doing some sort of training but dont know if its full training.

Bert Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Kisnorbo won't feature until the end of January, maybe the start of February.
Corky Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Kisnorbo won't feature until the end of January, maybe the start of February. If you're wrong Bert, Abrasive Fox will be after you
JoeyB Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Asked him that question on Tuesday. His answer was "when I am ready" I asked when will that be and again he said "when I am ready" He is doing some sort of training but dont know if its full training. Was it the same knee he injured again? Can't remember from the last time.
Flynny Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 What are you guys talking about? Morrisson got turned like a bitch for the goal. He had a few good moments but every time we were shaky he was in there somewhere.

He had a few good moments but every time we were shaky he was in there somewhere. Still learning his trade tho'. I thought that he looks solid most of the time and seems to be more of a kisnorbo type of player. Strong in the air but favors the boot.
Bert Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 If you're wrong Bert, Abrasive Fox will be after you Oh well. Nothing to worry about really, and that was just me saying what I think anyway, although I should've ran it past him first to see if it was ok. Was it the same knee he injured again? Can't remember from the last time. Nah.
JoeyB Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 Oh well. Nothing to worry about really, and that was just me saying what I think anyway, although I should've ran it past him first to see if it was ok. Nah. Who Kisnorbo or Abrasive The Other knee then. Off topic you goin monday night?

Bert Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 If he's 'still learning his trade' to the extent where he looks a liability every time he plays, he shouldn't be playing. To be fair to the lad, (And I'm one of his biggest critics) I thought he was solid enough last night - Ok, he did get turned easily for the goal last night, but many other players got turned inside out last night too, filling a gap left by the Tunch is never going to be easy either.

The other players weren't CB's (mostly) with no-one behind them other than the keeper. He did pass it a bit more, in fairness, but he never looked safe and is not even as good in the air as Tunch. I'd slightly rather have Kisnorbo at the minute, if he were fit, but obviously he's not so we'll have to make do. As long as Magunda and Rowe-Turner don't have to play, we'll be fine. The Hinckley game was a shambles.

Father Ted Posted 15 January 2009 Posted 15 January 2009 This is the worst news I've heard all season Morrison will be good enough until Tunch returns with Berner as cover for Morrison. Maybe a short-term Edworthy/Powellesq. signing is needed. EDIT: Whoops, wrong thread, anyway, this is meant for the Tunch thread.
