Not everyone that doesn't wear a replica shirt/scarf is vocal.

The clothes you wear doesn't make you what you are. :dunno:

If only this were true, it seems that this is now the only way to express "who you are"

Well done for stating the bleeding obvious, Dave. University research would be ideal for you.

Obviously clothes don't make you what you are, it just appears to be more common for non-replica wearing fans to be louder or more willing to get involved than replica wearers, who tend to be branded the "family type" fan. That's all.

is it just me that is confused??

I don't get the "working class" thing as if they owned the game.

This hasn't been anything approaching a working class sport since the 70's and clothes had nothing to do with class because everyone at the game would have scarves, hats (and more than a few rattles). At least 50% of the casuals I knew in the 80's weren't working class; they may have been inverted snobs unable to deal with the emasculation induced by their jobs but they sure as shit didn't have dirty finger nails.

As soon as Thatcher came to power a huge shift occurred in the class structure of the country and this fed through to the game. People receiving banning orders over the last thirty years include accountants, lawyers, teachers - the all too professional and cuddly middle classes.

Please, the next time I'm at a game or in the pub, I'd be delighted for anyone to explain to me why they consider themselves to be working class and why it has any relevance at all to football.

I'm wearing a suit to Yeovil. A suit, a scarf and as loud a voice as any Jeremy Kyle show reject :P

Teachers??...surely not :giggle:

I have never seen a thread with so much crap in it.

So people want to wear a Leicester shirt, so what, it's not a night out or a date with a girl, its a football match, where else would you wear it if you have a replica shirt?

Most grounds dont have much colour most of the year anyway because everyone has coats on, you can't even see the shirts.

I thought Sheff Wednesdays end looked impressive at the Walkers last season, most of them had orange on, they were playing in orange. I would much rather see that than black, but i'm not fussed.

I wear a shirt sometimes when i go, depends if it is clean or what i am doing before/after the game, but i still like to be vocal. Unfortunately i can only make around 10-15 games a season, i guess i'm not a proper fan either.

This just maybe the biggest load of shit I have layed my eyes on. Shingler, you wasn't on the coach on the way down here, but as I recall, you was with us in the ground ? And you are with us down the pub most saturdays. So to sit here laughing at this is hypocritical and makes you a ****. The other FT'er apart from myself in this photo is Rodderz, the lad with the pint. Just because I dress myself in a different style to most of yourselves, doesn't make me or anyone else any less of a fan. Every lad in that photo was stood at Swindon, and every lad there sung. We didn't say we were hooligans, because we're not. So people who are making assumptions on the clothes we wear, well, are ****s. Now, I've seen Bert at a few games, he dresses smart / casual, does that means he wanks off to Danny Dyer  No, does it fook. The naivety on here is unbelieveable. And in reply to what c-man said, i'm one of the lads on the right in a bogey coloured jacket, why am I a **** eh ?

Rant over

I wouldn't worry about it mate. People just like to believe what the media tells them about what wearing a certain type of clothes makes a person. It saves thinking for themselves.

AHA, Rodderz! His pint looks bigger than him!

Hey, I try to change it, but it keeps returning to a default name.
