He’s a popular scientist who has let it all go to his head and hence thinks he’s qualified to make pontifications on God, the Universe and everything, and that so long as he knows how to laugh, he has addressed all matters of religion. Personally I agree with kokopops, he's a wankstain.

Atheism isn't about answering everything, it is about questioning everything and demanding solid answers from those who would claim to find truth in religion. Vacamion Posted 20 January 2009 Posted 20 January 2009 The discussion about atheist criticism of religion is a bit dawkins-centric (not a word, but you know what I mean)... There are plenty of far more devastating critiques of faith that have been published in recent years - Sam Harris, Michel Onfray, Christopher Hitchens. Further back than that, Bertrand Russell's pretty scathing of religious belief too. If, like me, you are a godless heathen who thinks that you rot when you die and that's it, these are worth a look. None of these authors mention "wankstains" though. Whatever you believe, the advice "stop worrying and get on with your life" is pretty sound.
