Guest Gist Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 Aslong as Tunchev gets over his injury we have a chance
Asha Posted 13 April 2009 Posted 13 April 2009 out of contract prem players Some decent players in that lot. David Edgar, bring him in.
jimmy7587 Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Well I know the manager reads these blogs! A few years ago I suggested signing Ian Walker for under £3mill, and De**** W**e and Peter T**lor took notice! So, for every Leicester fan. Sorry about the Wise signing, he's a cock aint he! Anyhoo, Mr Pearson go into Mr Mandaric's office and ask for the following players to play in; goal, RB,LB, CB, MR, MC, FC, ST GK: Romain Larreaiu (Plymouth) or Kelvin Dalvis (Saints) and give David Martin (Liverpool) another year on loan. RB: Kerrea Gilbert (Arsenal), Steven Carr (free), LB: Dean Lewington (MK DONS) CB: Jack Hobbs (Liverpool) or MR: Rudi Skacel (Saints) MC: Jones (Derby) FC: Marek Saganowski (Saints) ST: Simon Cox (Swindon) Any further suggestions?

I'd go for Aaron Wilbraham.
The_Risk Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Sell Paul Dickov. Or, just send him to La Manga. He can go out and see Cardiff Fox's sister. She won't say nooo Dickov
jimmy7587 Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Yeah Dickov must go to be honest. You reckon DJ Campbell will be given another chance, he is doing well at Blackpool after all. If not, sell him on for £500,000, if we're lucky. Release: Logan, Hendersen, Clemence, Kisnorbo, Levi Psssh, Edworthy, Powell, Verma, any more..?! Would be nice to sign emerging talent rather than 'has-been's', but I do appreciate the need for the odd seasoned pro, especially between the sticks. I think top half/promotion places will be a respectable season. Lets not get relegated again!!!!
Candidcamera Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Two who scored this week - RITCHIE Dag & Redbridge (Pompey ?) and Simon CHURCH Orient (Reading ? Welsh u'21)
carterfox90 Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 thought the leeds goalie looked a good player & also robinson when he came on & like most of us want cox from swindon & avery good center midfielder having seen oakley in the championship i worry slightly if he can mix it now
TrickyTrev Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Some decent players in that lot.David Edgar, bring him in. If Newcastle go down thy will surely keep him. Lee Martin would be good.
willchafer Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 i think we should go for lower league players who are cheap and cheerful this way theyre not too bothered if theyre shoved on the bench and we can use who we like...maybe someone like elvis hammond back at the walkers or myrie williams? or tbh i think we have a squad capable of finishing in a respectable positon gk: david martins (if we sign him) rb:kereea gilbert (if we sign again cb:paddy kisnorbo cb: aleksander tunchev lb:joe mattock rm: max gradel cm:andy king/ matty oakley cm:stevie clemence (if hes still alive ) lm: lloyd dyer st:stevie howard st:matty fryatt/simon cox if we can grab him that could keep us up just a striker and a defender needed if you ask me to just keep it stable.
City Lad Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 I'd be fairly confident next year with a team like this... ---------------Martin---------------------- Gilbert----Tunchev---Hobbs----Mattock Ambrose--Oakley--Zheng Zhi--Surman --------Howard-----Cox------------------ Wouldn't cost too much either. Midfield and attack need changing drastically to stay up.

Mickyblueeyes Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 I know Birmingham were after him and dont know if their interest has subsided but Kris Boyd may be a better target then Cox
dandannieldanok Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 If we don't sign Gilbert then Carl Hoefkens on a free would be decent.
SMX11 Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 GK- New signing, Martin maybe DR- Gilbert, need another RB for cover DC- Tunch DC- Brown/Hobbs Morrison as cover DL- Mattock/Berner MR- New signing- Darren Ambrose, Nathan Dyer (not sure if he's signed perm for Swans), Gradel rotated with him MC- King MC- New signing- Zheng Zhi, Nicky Bailey/Oakley ML- Dyer (if he becomes consistant)/ New signing Lee Martin, Jerome Thomas ST- Howard/ New signing- Wilbraham, Caleb Folan to compete with him ST- New signing- Simon Cox pref or maybe give DJ a chance. Fryatt- not sure he's up to it on recent showings. what are your thoughts?

crafty fox Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 spoke to a friend last week who knows lee hughes and he said he will sign for us in the summer, i know this isnt exactly hard evidence and would certainly split fans opinions but as far as am concerned he paid his price by doing his prison sentence and if he can help us get promotion next season i for one wont be complaining. i would only presume he would be a squad member / sub and tbh looked quite good against us at home.
dandannieldanok Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 He looked decent against us but I doubt he could cut it in the Championship. If it is true then we just have to trust the manager.
dave_the_fox Posted 15 April 2009 Posted 15 April 2009 I see Stuart Taylor is on loan at Cardiff, I'd take him in goal
