Thoughts for next season

Oakley's performances are very hit & miss. Against Millwall he did play very well. However a good Oakley performance is unfortunately quite rare. Oakley IMO is too inconsistent to play regularly in the championship, he certainly would not be a star man who would drive the team on from what I have seen of him in a Leicester shirt.

Hasn't Oakley and King been pretty much ever present this season? I can imagine they're feeling a little jaded. We could do with strengthening in every department so that we have options for next season.

Few decent signings in midfield and a striker and a right back (Didn't we have loads at one point?) and we'll be more than fine.

Oh yeh and 2 goalies.

who do you think we should be looking to buy next season?

i thought maybe

marlon harewood

robbie savage

Rob hulse

jason scotland

Jermaine beckford

No. Definite no to Savage. And I have a feeling we'll see more of Beckford in the stands than on the pitch.

I'd like to sign Kris Commons, if Oakley goes.

And Scotland would be a great buy to replace Howard.

Firstly secure Hobbs, Gilbert and perhaps Cleverley on perms/season long loan deals. Think it's important to keep squad like this together, they are used to winning, young and hungry!

Next GK, on permanent or a top Prem one on season long loan, Foster would be a dream but 99% impossible lol. Martin on perm woul be OK.

We definately need a creative midfielder, should be top of the list, someone like a Mark Davies.

Then lastly, another striker, maybe spend big if we can. Cox from Swindon would be great, very impressed with him like most have been!!

I don't think we need to panic buy and change most the squad, and I dont think MM will have the money to do that anyway. I can't see why we would lose any players either.

Pearson seems to be a master of the transfer market so i'm expecting some exciting signings, maybe only a few but hopefully quality ones.

Right now, Jason Scotland and Kris Commons might see moving to us as a step backwards.

Simon Cox from Swindon would be a decent buy, though. I said some weeks ago he was a better player than Fryatt and now his goal tally proves it.

Yeah Simon Cox does look good and on fire at the moment.

Has he played in the Championship before?? If so, what's his record like?

with teams likely to come down next season from the prem i can see a few of their fringe players needing to leave. Cost cutting measures. always happens.

Brad Jones. Middlesborough. Back up young ISH keeper 6'3 aussie. Played just a couple of games for them this season i think.

Newcastle and West Brom are fighting it out for the signature of £1m-rated Swindon striker Simon Cox. (News of the World)

Theres no way we will get him.

Brad Jones is extremely dodgy i think.

He will be in the championship next season anyway, more his level :P

Can't see Boro staying up.

"My boss, who is a FIFA registered agent recently took a call from Steve Walsh, our chief scout. He's trying to source players for next season already, and in his words, we are going to " give it a right go " next season, implying there will be more than a few arrivals next season."

If we go up and MK Dons don't then sign Aaron Wilbraham. Jack Hobbs on a permanent aswell please :fc:

Wouldn't mind Leven and Puncheon too. Heard alot of good, positive stuff about these two. I don't know if Puncheon's on loan to MKD though. Thought he might still be contracted to Plymouth

I'm thinking we should just raid the Southampton team on the cheap.

Kelvin Davis, Andrew Surman and Marek Saganowski could all be decent signings.

I can actually see 1 or 2 Southampton players coming with the Pearson connection and that.
