Milky Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 This seems to be the new England Home shirt for the 09/11 seasons made by Umbro. The new England kit will be officially launched on April 1st, but there is a good chance that this will be it.
Sparky Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 Nope, yuck. That's horrific. Give me a nice simple shirt with a nice simple Three Lions crest (without the word ENGLAND above it too) and a nice simple trim any day. It's times like this that I wish I had a second nationality so I didn't have to support England internationally. Id back that comment up , the 3 lions is the most widely known crest on the planet . No need to print England above it
lavrentis Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 Nice!! I like it. I am all for red, I prefer it to the navy blue.
Samilktray Posted 12 February 2009 Author Posted 12 February 2009 Nice!! I like it. I am all for red, I prefer it to the navy blue. I agree. Navys a boring colour.
1884 Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 I thought Nike were doing the next England Kits? Or am I completely wrong? I heard Nike have bought out Umbro and the Umbro deal had ended anyway?

syston_fox Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 I sceptical that that is the real kit ... if it is then I hope it grows on me because at the moment I'm not liking it!
SystonFox Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 looks like a polish or czech away kit. too much red
Simi Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 Interesting fact. I opened this thread and Three Lions started playing on iTunes.
Samilktray Posted 12 February 2009 Author Posted 12 February 2009 Interesting fact.I opened this thread and Three Lions started playing on iTunes. Fancy that. What are your thoughts on the shirt Cheddar?
Head Honcho Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 The star actually makes it look a bit poxy
Anish Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 It would be better if the lining on the neck was navy instead of red. Too much red. Precisely. Change the red trim to navy blue and it'd be a winner (and take out the border around the badge).
Simi Posted 12 February 2009 Posted 12 February 2009 Fancy that. What are your thoughts on the shirt Cheddar? S'alright, not a fan of the red around the badge though. Obviously I wouldn't wear it to a match though.
Jordan Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 I think that looks awful. Too much red and it's too light.Red bit round the badge, why? I think the red outline seems like an '80s kind of touch to me, which makes it horribly out of place in a shirt designed to be more modern. Looks like the sleeves are supposed to be the St. George's cross but cut off at the shoulder. It doesn't work; the sleeve design is way to cluttered.
lavrentis Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 Time for me to design an England shirt on Photoshop I think!
dandannieldanok Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 Don't like the sleeves and the badge outline at all, it's not the colour that's necessarily the problem just the design.
Edmund Posted 13 February 2009 Posted 13 February 2009 If this is it, im a fan. Something a bit different. Terrible looks tacky. Why oh why can't Nike make our national shirts. Always liked this shirt from recent years. Had a bit of character. Still got my Shearer no 9.
Big Ol' Bob Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 It's fooking shit, looks like the cheap rip off fake england shirts that you see gypo looking chavs wearing, the ones that they get from skeggy market for a fiver. Just fook off England and get a good shirt for once, a plain white one with the england badge, and a plain red one for an away kit. Let's take it back to 66, and quit with all this shit looking "hi tec" nonsense.
Corky Posted 15 February 2009 Posted 15 February 2009 Not the best shirt I've ever seen, my favourites were the ones from Euro 96 and France 98.
