Head Honcho Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Going for the record a good win for Rovers in mid week I think I would. What about you?
maddog Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Going for the record a good win for Rovers in mid week I think I would. What about you? Your polls alrite and all but theres already a poll for this game, the optimeter
C-man Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 At the Northampton game, at half time, I asked Joe and LD3 whether they'd take a draw. We were playing shit at the time and I said I would, but they thought we would win it, so they said no. We won the game. Currently, we're not playing great, but we're not losing, I still think we can go there and win. So 'No' from me.
Daggers Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 I didn't go to Hartlepool looking for a draw, I came back happy with one. It depends entirely on how Rovers come at us and how we respond...but at the moment I want nothing less than a win, and I'll take the scrappiest one of the season if that is what it takes.

Joe. Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Don't think we should settle for a draw against any team in this division personally.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 No, picking up draws is good enough for a while but we simply need a 3-pointer very soon, our lead is not as formidable as some people think.
Samilktray Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Should never settle for draws against anyone. Shit attitude.
Fosse Boy Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Should never settle for draws against anyone.Shit attitude.
Thracian Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 I'd happily have the phrase "settle for a draw" obliterated from the English language.
Ultra Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Don't think we should settle for a draw against any team in this division personally. Agreed - not even Leeds away. Those points we dropped there in the dying minutes could prove costly.
Koke Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 I'd happily have the phrase "settle for a draw" obliterated from the English language. Its the worst attitude you can have going into the game. Not only in football, but in real life as well. Why would you ever settle for second best.
Thracian Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Its the worst attitude you can have going into the game. Not only in football, but in real life as well. Why would you ever settle for second best. When you're as fat and weatherworn as me you'll understand!
Daggers Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Agreed - not even Leeds away. Those points we dropped there in the dying minutes could prove costly. "Settling for a draw" prior to matches is no worse than your constant Chicken Licken-like "The sky may fall in sometime before the end of the season". Seriously: give it a rest, sit back, drink another pint and enjoy the ride.
Corky Posted 19 February 2009 Posted 19 February 2009 Obviously not. But we'll wait and see how we play first.
lildave3 Posted 20 February 2009 Posted 20 February 2009 Should never settle for draws against anyone.Shit attitude. Actually well said for once Samuel
Samilktray Posted 20 February 2009 Posted 20 February 2009 Actually well said for once Samuel I do come out with nuggets of knowledge now n again you cheeky git.
FilboFox Posted 20 February 2009 Posted 20 February 2009 Interesting little fact though for this season... the last time we drew 3 in a row as we have done in the last 3 games, we then lost the next one... 3-2 against Brighton... Lets hope that it doesn't repeat itself and we can win at the Memorial as we really need the 3 points now...
MC Prussian Posted 20 February 2009 Posted 20 February 2009 I'd settle for 5-5. NEVER settle for a draw - not even a 5-5!!! Seriously though, if it was a "comeback draw" (what a term), then maybe. But not after leading Bristol 5-0!! Anyway, at this time of the season I wouldn't settle for anything else than a win.
BoneDog Posted 20 February 2009 Posted 20 February 2009 After what I've seen lately I would settle for a draw cos there's a good chance we could get beat. A point away at Bristol would do me. I have voted for a win in maddogs oppo though. I obviously don't go to a match thinking 'I hope we play for a draw', I always want to see attacking football but the way we've been playing of late doesn't exactly breed confidence. Anything but a defeat and I won't complain.
BlabyFox Posted 21 February 2009 Posted 21 February 2009 I'd settle for 5-5. That would demonstrate what a waste of money Bunn was.
