AjcW Posted 24 November 2009 Posted 24 November 2009 lol milito trying to take puyol up the arse hahaha
AjcW Posted 24 November 2009 Posted 24 November 2009 Lovely finish by denilson in the arsenal game. 2-0 barca half time
StanSP Posted 24 November 2009 Posted 24 November 2009 Sevilla losing . Unirea really do get underestimated by some teams. Oh and that goal to take them in the lead was ANOTHER own goal .
Edmund Posted 24 November 2009 Posted 24 November 2009 Am I being incredibly stupid? How are Liverpool out as results stand? Surely if they win there next game by a big margin and Lyon lose then surely they can still qualify via goal difference. Okay the goal difference is huge but why are the commentators saying it as if its signed and sealed. Please someone enlighten me. Jehst xxx

Fox You Forest Posted 24 November 2009 Posted 24 November 2009 It's on head to head results isn't it? Not goal difference. Lyon won at Anfield and drew at home.
Tilley Posted 24 November 2009 Posted 24 November 2009 Surely he's gone if he doesn't win the Merseyside Derby?
Edmund Posted 24 November 2009 Posted 24 November 2009 Well they would have to win 6-0 and Lyon are playing Debrecen so it's a miracle situation True but the commentators were saying it as if it's set in stone. Reading below it seems goal difference doesn't matter. Head to head record counts before goal difference. It's on head to head results isn't it? Not goal difference.Lyon won at Anfield and drew at home. Nice one
Budweiser Posted 24 November 2009 Posted 24 November 2009 Surely he's gone if he doesn't win the Merseyside Derby? No way can they afford to sack him. Someone just sent me this picture, of no relevance to them getting knocked out but still, it made me laugh.
Uncle Albert Posted 25 November 2009 Author Posted 25 November 2009 Winning the Europa League isnt a bad thing for us, then we can have won the most UEFA Cups than anyone in England and European Cups. Always a silver lining.
Craig Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Winning the Europa League isnt a bad thing for us, then we can have won the most UEFA Cups than anyone in England and European Cups. Always a silver lining. 'You' won't win it anyway.
Darkzzz_ Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Chelsea FTW. They have something special, he's called Ancelotti.
CosbehFox Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Winning the Europa League isnt a bad thing for us, then we can have won the most UEFA Cups than anyone in England and European Cups. Always a silver lining. ....which is like Port Vale saying let's go to the final of the Paint Pot cos we've won it twice and winning it again would make sure we've won the trophy more times than anyone else.

Darkzzz_ Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 I love it how Liverpool fans assume they will win the Europa Cup.
lildave3 Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 I love it how Liverpool fans assume they will win the Europa Cup. They're obviously not seen Fenerbahce's name yet. Praying that Fener get an English club somewhere down the road.
CosbehFox Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 To be fair, it would suit Benitez's tactical side of his management but he's lost the plot hasn't he. I know the American's havent been the best financial backers but his transfer dealings are awful. Ie. Johnson £20m for a right-back, sells Arbeloa for £4.5m or Crouch and Keane.
