Yes they had that amazing 4-4 draw in last Champions League, but i'm bored of the fixture now. Thats 6 Champions League matches between the 2 in the last 3 years, BORING!

Apparently there was some issues with the turnstiles there was only one for about 2,500 apparently and alot of fans missed a fair bit of the first half, and according to what i heard on the radio it came when a fan said something to a steward and the steward re-acted and it then became about 20 or so fans scrapping with the stewards.

BoneDog Posted 4 November 2009 Posted 4 November 2009 Gutted for Liverpool. Them and Arsenal are the only English teams I want to do well in the Champions League. It's not looking good for Liverpool this season now! Blew it, and so early in the season aswell. Just not good enough. They'll be lucky if they finish above Villa. Some of Rafas team selections over a season are horrific and inexcusable. He brought Liverpool some glory with a couple of big trophies but I'm not sure he can bring any more success their way. Last season was brilliant in the Prem for them but they have not improved at all this year. Lost all their momentum and now times are desperate at Anfield whatever Rafa said to the contrary after tonights result.

Lyon were utter shite and I can't see anything other than them losing in Fiorentina (even more so now they're through and don't have to worry about qualifying), which would send Liverpool out no matter what else happened.

The fact that Carragher says it's not a disaster if they go out of CL and using Europa League as fall-back is ridiculous. A club like Liverpool should not be using fall-backs and should be aiming upwards.
