Mr Berty.

You not implying that someone with an ST who has priority 3,is a fair weather supporter are you???

No.

But, when they can get tickets ahead of someone who isn't P3, and have been to less aways than the person who's not a P3 , it's a bit unfair really. But hey, we all how know the priority system works.

I was told that there is a scheme for getting away season tickets reserved for all away matches at the start of the season - they are sent to you and your bank account debited unless you return them to the club. Is this scheme of assistance or does it only apply to Season Ticket holders?

You're better off speaking to Lisa or Daggers, I'm sure they use it.

If there is such a scheme doesn't it weaken your argument?

No.

At the start of the season, the people that sign up for this, are giving a guarantee, that they'll be at every match, therefore the club know they'll be receiving £££.

No. It's not a guarantee - if you return the away ticket your account is not debited

A fan sitting next to me at the Millwall game said she had an Away "season ticket" and she had already got her Peterborough ticket

There is a pre-order form; you can select the games that you can/want to go to, and you can change your pre-order at any time.

I don't know if it works for all season ticket holders though, or just P1.

Thanks you for the info. Why does Bert persist in the unfairness theory then?

I've been on the verge of writing something similar at times to be honest. It can be frustrating when you can't get through but if you don't go to every game, you'll just have to cope with the idea that it's people like you that cause the problem.

Having said that, I think they should come up with some sort of solution to give people an idea that ringing them is usually a ludicrous idea. I used to be on hold for hours when I used to ring up. God bless the holy pre-order form.

And agree with the sentiments about the staff themselves, they are generally top-notch when dealing with me.

Fez talks about the pre order form - any info online? Can't see a reference on LCFC website

What are you on about? I really don't think you get what I'm trying to say.

If you pre-order, then you're going to go to most games.

If someone who is a member, but can't get a season ticket, goes to 10 away games during a season, but can't go to Peterborough away because a priority 3 season ticket holder decides they want to go, to their first or second away of the season, making the game sell out before members sale.

That's not really fair I don't think. Other clubs have better away priority systems in place.

Every single time I've emailed them asking them to ring I've received a call back within a couple of hours offering me the ticket I've asked for with one exception. That was Northampton away, where I got a phonecall early the next day from Jim saying they'd received my email and put a ticket on hold for me but didn't have the chance to call back because it was so busy the day before. I haven't got a bad word to say against any of them, especially Jim (hero). Especially since I learnt they were laughing at Daggers' design for the flag (the one with a picture of Raj on saying he was a twat).

WTF?????

PS Man 1 is a member

Man 2 is an ST holder with priority 2

Man 3 is an ST with priority 3

Woman 4 is a man with a man who has a dog who has priority 5

Woman 5 is a tigers fan who has no ticket but looks stunning looking

Woman 6 is Bernie

Man 7 is LD3

Man 8 doesnt go to home games but goes to away when he can get tickets

man 9 doesnt even know why he is in the "Q"

Name the order in which they should get tickets???

Bert does have a point- there are many people who, for whatever reason, haven't got ST's but go to a large or fair amount of away matches, and they lose out on tickets for these matches to someone who has a ST but hardly ever or never normally travels away, and they got tickets due to being a higher priority because they have a ST, not because they go to more away matches.

You have to feel some sympathy with these people.

You previously posted that you didn't have all the information concerning the pre order form but now you're an expert! I don't know whether the pre-order form overrides the Priority system. If someone can point to the terms of the pre order form scheme then perhaps we can have a sensible discussion!

Don't think so.

Man Utd, Newcastle, Sunderland, Everton, Liverpool sell out their away allocation to every single game, whether it be away in the league cup at Barnet on a Wednesday night or just another domestic game. Most of the time when they're in Europe they do too.

Granted these are all Premiership teams, but to say that it's the same at every club, is wrong.

It becomes a problem when people who can't get season tickets, but still go to just as many games, get screwed out of tickets because the fair weather fans turn up, (who have priority 3 because they're season ticket holders) because it's a big game, or it's local.

i still think the situation is the same - just because a club can sell out all its allocations, big or small, doesn't mean the demand is the same. even if a club takes 3000 to barnet, it's not the same as taking 3000 to chelsea. the difference is that for the 3000 at barnet even big clubs would not have that many more fans wanting to go, whereas for the chelsea game they might be able to sell the same allocation 4 or 5 times.

i'll concede tho that with the bigger clubs the small cup games can still have the same demand as ordinary domestic games, purely because lots of fans can't get tickets for prem games and need to start at the bottom of the ladder, so to speak, so that in time they can move up the pecking order. ask any regular man united awayer what there first game was and it's more than likely to be something like oxford away in the league cup rather than arsenal.

big clubs don't have fans that are any less fickle, they just have more fans.

It was sent out to me, as a P1 STH. I have no idea if they send them to anyone else, or if they can be requested by any other priority. I can't see it replacing the priority system, just running alongside it, as what would be the point in having one!!

Maybe a member can use a pre-order form which puts the member to the front of the queue - who knows?!!!

I doubt it- because it's aimed at P1's so they don't need to keep ringing up or e-mailing the Ticket Office (am I right Lisa?).

Thank you Lisa. It would be helpful if the Club put this information in the public domain on its website. I'll look into it for next season

It could be aimed at just P1's, as Corky suggested, which would be why they don't advertise it widely.

I really hope we don't get into the Premiership, the last time we were up there, we had a few away games like this from what I remember, as they have different rules on allocations.

I've never posted anything about those that work in the ticket office. They do an excellent job and they are always polite and friendly.

I am a student in Brighton, so i can't afford a season ticket, and i can't travel to the home games every week. So, you can't say if you want to travel away from home just buy a season ticket, it's not that simple.

I do think that the system needs revising for away games. I have been to 18 matches this season, and 8 of those were away.

I couldn't get tickets for either MK Dons nor Peterborough because they were sold out before members sale, which, unfortunately defeats the object of purchasing a membership.

I put it down to a part time support. Where were those season ticket holders when we only sold 800 away in the freezing cold at Brighton, or when we only sold 2,000 away at Swindon?

And where were they when they bottled traveling to Millwall, we only sold 2,000 out of 3,200 for a massive game.

That is embarrassing for a supposed big club.

Anyway, i presume i will be sitting in the home end again for this game, so i hope the part-timers enjoy their away day!

When you're smiling. . .

So it's ok to be a part time home games supporter but not a part time away supporter?

The club have made money from you on ten matches this season whereas I've paid a lot more upfront for a season ticket. I think that entitles me to a higher priority than you.

But if that member has only been to a few home games why should they have preference over ST holder who's only been to a few away games?
