leftsideoverhere Posted 21 March 2009 Posted 21 March 2009 ... can't get tickets for Derby, Forest or the League Cup final next season.Who's been pissing about with my account? Yeah, whoever it was made you look like a right fantasist.
davieG Posted 21 March 2009 Posted 21 March 2009 Except in a lot of cases, they haven't - their mummies and daddies have bought the season tickets for them. You won't find these part-timers following us at places like Accrington or Rotherham. But whenever tickets go on sale for games at big clubs or within easy travelling distance, they'll suddenly emerge in numbers from the woodwork I can well understand why regular fans who aren't ST-holders become a tad peed off. This ST malarkey is all a bit of a red herring, I'm a P3 ST (partly because I didn't record some games) and I've failed to get tickets to some of these games, in fact if it wasn't for Thracian kindly queuing up for me when I've been working on those Wednesday mornings I wouldn't have managed to get tickets MKDs or Peterboro. If the truth be known I suspect many, many P3 ST holders miss out as well. Someones going to miss out when there's a short supply, whoever it is will likely be pissed off yet have what they believe to be valid reasons why they shouuldn't but some other poor sod should. I also fail to see the merits of the Member getting priority unless they can prove they've actually attended any matches at all.
Jay Posted 21 March 2009 Posted 21 March 2009 i've stumped up the cash to be a season ticket holder next term(10th time) and i got tickets for Northampton,orient,leeds.....but didn't get tickets for MK......WHICH PISSED ME OFF!Seems to me the majority of people complaing about the system are people living outside the Shire(with exception to Daggers)If you want to go away games LIVE IN LEICESTER!......Sorry rant over! and what a totally ludicrous rant it was!! even if I lived in Leicester or even just worked in Leicester it doesn't mean you can physically get to the ticket office to get away tickets so it's exactly the same situation regardless of where you live. The facts are that some people are always going to be disappointed and miss out when it comes to a big match because demand is bigger than the supply. what makes you any more important or valued as a fan than someone like me who does a 100mile round trip every home game?
Daggers Posted 21 March 2009 Author Posted 21 March 2009 Seems to me the majority of people complaing about the system are people living outside the Shire(with exception to Daggers) I'm not moaning about it - I think it is the fairest system, rewarding those who go to all the home games and pay the club in advance for their tickets. As a season ticket holder and someone who will have been to sixteen away games this season, I believe I have a god-given right to tickets for away matches next season. This system rewards the people who go to the most overall games in the previous season, regardless of the home/away mix. Seems to me that the majority of people bitching about this scheme have only been to a third of away games and a handful of home matches, who went to some random match midweek (Brighton/some place North of Luffbra) simply because it was close to where they live. "Children in their ManU tops" get Ultra's friends' tickets because they didn't attend enough last season so they need to suck it up or get to more games instead of cherry picking and carping.
Hullfox Posted 21 March 2009 Posted 21 March 2009 Except in a lot of cases, they haven't - their mummies and daddies have bought the season tickets for them. Edit: Sod it, I can't even be bothered to start.
Corky Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Seems to me the majority of people complaing about the system are people living outside the Shire(with exception to Daggers)If you want to go away games LIVE IN LEICESTER!......Sorry rant over! Yep, you're right, I should drop everything in my life, move to Leicester just so I can get to away games. And it was hardly a rant.
SystonFox Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 havent read the whole thread (SORRY!) just the first page BUT i am not a STH for this season as i couldn't afford it when the season began, i had been a STH for the 4 previous years of DRIVELL! alas when we got drawn against Forest in last seasons Carling Cup everybody was rightly excited at the oppurtunity of a local derby, i thought i'd wait for tickets as we'd been given 4,000 not expecting them to sell out in 2 days so to my shock when they did sell out i emailed asking if any were returned i'd snap there hands off. luckily a day later a further allocation of 900 was given and they were on to me that evening saying i had first option and i duly "snapped there hands off" from this experience i learnt to buy tickets to the big games like Villa, Chelsea, Cov and Stoke (all away) using my priority 1 ST on the priority 1 selling date. so to add to comments previously written yes it is peoples own fault when they don't get tickets they think they deserve (which they don't) go to more matches and bump up your priority so that when we may sell out an away allocation your guaranteed as i hear we only have 900 p1 STH??? the Ticket Office do indeed do a fantastic job, just dont ring them up and listen to "Beautiful Day" for 35 mins (do they still play that?!!)
Ultra Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 the Ticket Office do indeed do a fantastic job, just dont ring them up and listen to "Beautiful Day" for 35 mins (do they still play that?!!) No, but they do keep you waiting for half an hour. I'm sure BT shareholders are suitably grateful.

Katy Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 That comes clsoe. I've no idea why I spelt it like that, my only defence is that I'm tired and annoyed about being a mongy foxile in some people's eyes. Glad you fooked up too though Bert

syston_fox Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Well all I can say is that it serves me the chuff right doesn't it. I actually proof read my post to make sure I hadn't dropped a clanger too
Bert Posted 22 March 2009 Posted 22 March 2009 Bless ya. If there's one thing I can do right, it's put my hands up when I've made a boo-boo! I actually proof read my post to make sure I hadn't dropped a clanger too That would've been good - three clangers in a row!

However, it does appear that City are doing something a bit different for the next 3 games. All those saved stubs might come handy for me but I hope it's not at the expense of mates who are season ticket holders but been a few less away games then me.

Good Lord. If I ever leave my job and head back to the Midlands just to go to some away games then I give any one of you permission to get me committed.
Houdini Logic Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 The idea of emailing your credit card details for priority tickets is pre-historic

What a stupid thing to say you mindless cvnt . I know most Leicester folk are bloody miserable, but surely people should appreciate supporters from elsewhere. Believe me, with support as w@nk as ours, and the amount of inbred ****** who watch Leicester, there are times when it's very tempting to say f*** this and go support another team!

Daggers Posted 4 April 2009 Author Posted 4 April 2009 Joe: "You can get your ticket from the little window" Little window woman: "You can't get them here, this is 'upgrades' only you have to go to a ticket office" (What the fvck is an 'upgrade'?) Ticket office had daft queue so we went to the Kop one. Kop bloke: "Sorry mate, we only sell tickets for the Kop - try around the corner for K-block" Final ticket office of the day bloke: "Sorry, we only sell Kop and H-block tickets and can't take an ST voucher."
davieG Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 I beginning to take this personally! The last two times, S****horpe and Swansea I've ordered and paid for tickets over the phone they've messed it up. My S****horpe tickets, despite having two people ring me up about them never arrived and on going to the ticket office they had no record of my purchase. Today I turn up at the shed to pick up my pre-ordered tickets - Sorry sir you'll need to go to the Ticket Queries Window, which was shut, on enquiring in the tickets office I'm then order to join the queue in the rain with those buying tickets. When I eventually get seen they have them on record and listed as awaiting pick up but no tickets - it's not as it they had that many to deal with, this is just piss poor. To lose one set of tickets may be regarded as unfortunate to lose two sets looks like carelessness.
