More likely to be from the West Indies around that area. a) I don't know that area. b) It was a joke. c) The indigenous people of the West Indies actually originated from South America. That areas reliance on black African slavery under the Spanish, English and god knows who else's rule over the last 500 years has resulted in the mostly black populations. So... you could say I am still correct.
