Dr The Singh Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 I've liked what I've seen in the two games so far. OK, he punches a lot but at least it's decisive. Seems a good enough shot stopper too. Can't complain with his performances so far surely? He seemed a good shot stoppper, and made some good saves, and can throw the ball very accurately, i'd be surprised if we could do much better then him in the champoinship1!!

From what I have seen from warner, he has the ability to play at a higher level that we are currently playing in, at the moment. He seems solid enough from the 2 performances I have seen of him. I think that as he is our loan keeper and at short notice, we should be grateful that he wants to earn a wage even if dropping to our level. For those who believe Henderson is up to the job, you must be remember the flash in the pan superman performances he put on against the likes of Villa, however not remembering the types of performances against Cardiff away etc which cost us vital points. Wonder why NP is not renewing this stars contract?
Mack Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 I have seen Warner play live loads of times and he can be superb one day and an absolute liability another. I suppose you could say he saves some he should'nt, so when he makes a horrendous error it evens out. Depends how you look at it. Huge game this weekend, lets pray he has one of his good days.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 He's a fcuking giant! He fills me with more confidence than Stockdale does though. I thought he got their player booked on purpose as well!
Munzie Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 He's a fcuking giant! He fills me with more confidence than Stockdale does though. I thought he got their player booked on purpose as well! That was fantastic, deliberately booting the ball at him, looking for a card (which was thoroughly deserved) and then looked at the kop for some appreciation. The round of applause he got put a smile on his face! From what I've seen of him (albeit two appearences), he would get my vote of all of our loan keepers this season.
Sods Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 Henderson is the only keeper I have seen that actually does communicate with the defence, Martin doesn't and that worried me and was a reason for me not being so keen on him but he turned the corner and started to impress me then got injured. Thats not true, I always used to be able to hear Martin.
Scow Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 Thats not true, I always used to be able to hear Martin. Abso-bloody-exactly.

Simi Posted 23 March 2009 Posted 23 March 2009 I can't quite come to terms with what I think of him. Sometimes I think he's really shakey when he comes for a cross and only just manages to punch it, then other times he'll come and take a great claim like it's no mans business. His distribution has been an assett as well, some of his throws on Saturday started some good moves for us, especially when he worked it early for Gradel.
StanSP Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 Just extended his loan til the end of the season http://www.thebluearmy.co.uk/details.asp?b...6269754|p|536|0
maddog Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 After seeing him a few more times i would still be happy with Hendo. Warner bound to make a comical error for us at some point, if he continues wrecklessly charging around the box and out the area. Got a feeling he may make one Saturday.
Daggers Posted 31 March 2009 Posted 31 March 2009 No better than anyone else we've used this season - mad runs all over the shop and some shockingly bad distribution balanced by some amazing saves. He doesn't fill me with confidence.
breadandcheesebrother Posted 1 April 2009 Posted 1 April 2009 I miss David Martin I agree. Warner might be a good shot stopper, but he is also a gaffmeister. The whole punching the ball instead of catching it gives me a heart attack every time.
