ousefox Posted 28 March 2009 Posted 28 March 2009 I can see him being like Worley last year. Apart from hopefully we will only sign him if he is any good.
davieG Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Only Fans FC but they do quote the Merc Astrit Ajdarevic will leave Liverpool for good at the end of the season, the Premier League giants have confirmed. The 18-year-old Swede is currently on loan at the Walkers Stadium and could be offered a permnanent deal in the summer. Liverpool academy chief Johnny Owens told the Leicester Mercury: "He won't come back to us and he will see out the season with Leicester and then they will have the first chance to offer him something. "Other clubs will no doubt have a look at him as well so we'll have to wait and see what happens."
maddog Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 I like him. Do we get him on a free then Super if we did.
carterfox90 Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 do you think now we are virtually up that nigel will give him a starting place to see how he gets on for 90 minutes i hope so he might save us a lot of money on buying a star midfielder from someone else be nice to see some other players given a chance in the remaining games also possibly chambers Psssh sappelton etc
J.Lisemore Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 I like him.Do we get him on a free then Super if we did. Not sure if we would have to pay compensation as he is under a certain age.

Can't see him drastically changing the team though, he never does and wants 3 wins to keep the momentum going. Plus will be looking for another win to impress the fans at the last home game, and it would be grossly unfair to the other teams in the play off race if we put our reserves out against Scunny. I can see him changing it a fair bit for the Crewe game though, assuming they are guaranteed safety by then, they will have nothing to play for so the reserves may get a go, But it would be disgusting if Crewe need a result to stay up and he plays reserve players, i certainly can't see him doing that.
Sods Posted 16 April 2009 Author Posted 16 April 2009 He'll not play a 'weakened' team. Not a chance in ever that happening, he wants 9 points. Great attitude.
The Doctor Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Not sure if we would have to pay compensation as he is under a certain age. depends. hes out of contract and under 24 so we would have to pay compensation UNLESS liverpool are planning on releasing him on the 1st july when his contract expires or when he negotiates a deal with a new club (whichever comes sooner)
Dan Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Only Fans FC but they do quote the Merc Bugger, beat me to telling everyone But still I reckon its worth a shot, hes young enough to get a lot better.
Aleksz Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 He's just going to be like harry worley. he will be on trial at shrewsbury before you know it.
Unabomber Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Probably best to see him play a few times before judging him. I can't think of many bad players Pearson has brought to the club.
Guest Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 He's just going to be like harry worley. he will be on trial at shrewsbury before you know it. Harry Worley certainly didn't have the shot that Astrit does. I'll trust Nige to make the decision on him
Alf Bentley Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 This Liverpool FC forum makes interesting and encouraging reading: http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=220743.0 Hope he'll get a couple more run-outs, at least from the bench, though maybe not until promotion is wrapped up mathematically. Seems promising and worth a punt, presuming that vast sums of compensation wouldn't be required, as he's clearly still young enough to make significant progress..
lookwhaticando Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 chambers Psssh sappelton etc  Harry Worley certainly didn't have the shot that Astrit does. I'll trust Nige to make the decision on him His name is too much like Astrid. And with hair like that, you do have to wonder... Them Swede's are into some right kinky shit.
DanTheFox07 Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Can`t help but think he is too young and we will need experience in championship I think.
davieG Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Can`t help but think he is too young and we will need experience in championship I think. We had loads of experience before and still failed - what you need above all else is quality and teamwork.
Dan Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 We had loads of experience before and still failed - what you need above all else is quality and teamwork. A good balance is the most important, you will never get away with two 35 year olds up front, or two 18 year olds, always best for a mix of qualities.
C-man Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 I like the look of Astrit. The boy's young, got the skills, keeps possession well and he looks big and strong. Got potential to be useful for us next year if we can snap him up. I'm imagining a midfield of: Dyer - King - Ajdarevic - Gradel
Scow Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 He looked superb when he came on against Carlisle - very confident on the ball. I sadly can't remember him at Hereford. In fact, I don't remember much from that day at all.

act smiley Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 I sadly can't remember him at Hereford. In fact, I don't remember much from that day at all. Its probably the one thing you've not forgotten - I think he only got a couple of touches.

But definitely he has got quality in his passing/vision and delivery sounds like the new stef oakes
Filbert_Ross Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 He looked superb when he came on against Carlisle - i wouldnt go that far.
