I think you mean ''I would like to know what people think Pearson should have done with the team selection , because that would have been my starting line up!''

Well I wasnt there obviously, so I cant be accurate with this, but Kizzy for Morrison looked wrong, Chambers should've started for Dickov, it would'be been hard to fit this in, but i would've liked to seen Oakley on the wing. and MAYBE even have played Porter

Those are comments of a fan, not a manager - Pearson clearly has faith and trust in his main players, and he's gone with those who he's kept around the first team and got us to this position so far.

If you consider we were missing the spine of our team today - A keeper (Martin ot Hendo) Tunchev, King and Howard, it shows how our squad is very thread bare in terms of cover. This will need to be addressed presuming we do make it to the Championship - but then we should have a bigger wage budget for this as well.

Warner 6 - Very poor conditions in the first half which made things difficult for him, no chance with either goal.

Gilbert 5 - Indecisive so much today. I was never confident when he had the ball. Sloppy.

Mattock 5 - Long balls that went to no-one. Didn't do too bad defending, mind.

Kisnorbo 7 - Rock Solid, won almost everything.

Hobbs 5 - At fault for the first goal, and instead of trying to win the ball for their second, stood waving his arms around for a few seconds as he thought they had handballed it.

Gradel 6 - Looked very lively, but a lack of understanding hindered him a lot today.

Dyer 5 - Couldn't get into the game at all. When he was, he was very wasteful.

Oakley 7 - One of the positives, tried to make things happen and get the ball down and play, got stuck in today too.

Berner 5 - The game very much passed him by, his major contribution was a very clever foul which stopped their counter attack, but earnt himself a booking.

Dickov 4 - Took too long when he should've shot. Little else.

Fryatt 5 - Not the pre-contract Fryatt we've seen. Poor decision making.

Hayles 5 - Hustled, bustled, failed.

Adams 4 - I think he thought he was still playing for Rochdale, cos none of his passes went to our players.

Warner 5 - decent saves but seems reckless

Gilbert 6 - decent not brillant

Hobbs 6 - solid

Kisnorbo 6 - as above, better than expected, given absence

Mattock 5- not disastrous, but I hope he's going to get better than this...

Gradel 7 - MOM, the one threat and he's working so hard these days

Oakley 4 - we needed him to get a grip on game and he absolutely didn't

Berner 6 - passable, I'd have taken Oakley off instead...

Dyer 6 - so-so, bit unlucky to be subbed, might've done something....

Fryatt 6 - can't rate him lower as no supply...

Dickov 4 - Now out of his depth, please stop embarrassing yourself!

Adams 5 - Added nothing, unfortunately

Hayles 5 - Marginally better than Dickov, but also please retire!

Didn't think we were completely terrible given the conditions, opponents and key players were missing. Still, must do better if we are going to win the league.

This.

Go with that other than i'd only give oakley 6 as he gave the ball away too much, maybe more to a lack of options mind you.

Warner - 6

No chance with either goal.

Gilbert - 6

Dealt with Boyd well for the main part. Did his best to support the attack, but like usual, his final ball was lacking.

Hobbs - 5

He backed away for Mackail-Smith in the lead up to the second goal. It may have been handball, though there's no need to do what he did. Looked a bit vulnerable overall.

Kisnorbo - 6

Apart from allowing Mackail Smith to turn him easily once in the first half, he was generally solid.

Mattock - 4

Where's Powell? He offered nothing yesterday. Mad a series of errors defensively and offensively.

Gradel - 5

Struggled to make any sort of impact on the game - perhaps could or should have tracked their man for the second.

Oakley - 7

The one player who looked to take control of the ball and play despite the conditions. Did well in the first half but faded afterwards as the game slipped away.

Berner - 5

Picked up an early booking, which played a part in Lee's goal. Seemed to labour in that midfield area.

Dyer - 5

Typical Dyer performance of late - showed in patches he could cause trouble, though ultimately, nothing good came of it.

Dickov - 5

There's no point playing him alongside Fryatt; it just doesn't work. He's neither big or quick enough to cause any problems.

Fryatt - 5

Didn't really have much to feed on.

Subs:

Hayles - 5

Failed to make an impression.

Adams - 5

I think the first thing he did was to give the ball away. Again, like Hayles, failed to make a difference.

Gradel - 5

Perhaps could or should have tracked their man for the second.

I watched the replay a dozen times with just that thought in mind and ending up thinking that Hobbs had been drawn too far forward, meaning Mattock had to mark the man inside the winger and that Gradel would have had to be almost in the penalty area in tracking back.

It's not for me. Forwards are often a liability that close to goal. Gradel at Tranmere was an example and there were three midfield/attackers couldn't make a tackle between them for their first.

That said I didn't think it conclusive. You can allocate a degree of blame to all sorts but the move was much quicker than it seems on the replay and it was a quality goal all round.
