daveyboy Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner - 6 - Average. Gilbert - 4 - So glad he came off, every one of their attacks was aimed at him! Kisnorbo - 6 - Ok, but had his hands all over their striker, could have easily given away free kicks. Hobbs - 5 - Better when moved to right back, very shakey at centreback. Mattock - 5 - The left winger was just way to fast for him, made some poor passes too. Gradel - 6 - Great going forward and ran alot, but like Gilbert, Carlilse dominated that flank! Oakley - 6 - Apart from his goal and beyond he was absent. King - 6 - Average. Dyer - 6 - Average. Fryatt - 6 - Average. Howard - 6 - Good to have him back. Subs Brown - 7 - Best player once he came on in my opinion, sured up the defence big time. Ajddarevic - 6 - Looked nervous and out to impress, but kept the ball on the floor, playing some nice passes.
Webbo Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner - 6 Could have done better with their first Gilbert - 6 Kisnorbo - 6 Hobbs - 6.5 Mattock - 6 Gradel - 7 Oakley - 7 King - 6.5 Gave away possession cheaply when we were leading. Dyer -8 Two assists and nearly set up a winner, what more do you want. Fryatt - 7 Worked hard, took his goal well. Howard - 6.5 Subs Brown - 7 Not a great performance but showed some leadership. Ajddarevic - 6 Didn't do a lot. I won't judge him yet.
davieG Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner - 5 Suicidal Gilbert - 5 Kisnorbo - 5 Hobbs - 5 Mattock - 4 Gradel - 7 Oakley - 6 King - 5 Dyer -8 Fryatt - 6 Howard - 6 Subs Brown - 5 Ajddarevic - 5
leftsideoverhere Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner - 6 I'm really not liking all the outfield heroics. Still, he did catch the ball today. Gilbert - 6 Outpaced too often. Looked slow. Kisnorbo - 5 Hands all over the centre forward, woeful distribution Hobbs - 5 Worst game I've seen him in to be honest. But partly 'cos he was stretched by the fullbacks being so poor. Mattock - 5 Beaten too many times, not very impressive going forward. Gradel - 7 Tried hard, ran, chased back, should have taken more shots. Oakley - 6 Better than he's been recently, but still not very impressive. King - 7 Controlled the ball well, and played to feet, mostly. Dyer - 7 Best performance from Lloyd for a while. Fryatt - 7 Worked hard, took his goal well. Had a very good penalty shout turned down, too. Howard - 7 Glad he was back. Unlucky not to win a penalty, and nearly set up a couple of goals. Subs Brown - 7 Best defender on the park. Experience told. Loved the gentle back header to Warner. Ajddarevic - 6 Tried a bit too hard, but showed some promising skill.
Thracian Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner 5.5 (Once again, didn't convince me at all either with his keeping or the speed and lack of thoughtfulness/accuracy in his distribution) Gilbert 6 (Okay til his injury) Kisnorbo 5 (At fault for the first and I'm suspicious about the second too. Usual aimless distribution). Hobbs 6.5 (Steady enough but we missed him in the centre second half). Mattock 5 (Never convincing at all). Gradel 7 (Involved himself well and tried all sorts. One glorious low cross second half should have produced a goal on a plate and he might have scored himself when a Fryatt shot was blocked in the first half). Oakley 6 (Dead ball kicks were way below what we needed and his passing was iffy once again. Well involved though) King 7 (Did so much to make the time and space for Dyer to create the first goal, brought the save of the match with a wicked, swerving shot which was bound for goal, had another late shot blocked and was generally his usual efficient self for 86 minutes. Then twice gave possession away with totally uncharactertic punts in the closing stages. It was inevitable Pearson would pay for not leaving a man up front for just such clearances and I hope we learn from it.) Dyer 8 (Two excellent assists and might even have made it three by teeing up a late, late winner but, sadly, it was not to be). Fryatt 7 (Scored one and might well have had another in the first half). Howard 6 (Fairly disappointing really. But should have been awarded a penalty for a blatant barge) Subs Brown 6 (Generally okay and tried to play the ball constructively but where were he and Kisnorbo for the cross that led to their equaliser?)t. Adjarevic 6 (Clearly skillful and constructive. Not sure he possesses the energy we need for all that but we'll see. Strikes me as a Gareth Williams type and it remains to seen how effective he proves to be).
Jimmy Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner 6 Gilbert 5 Honns 6 Kisnorbo 6 Mattock 6 Gradel 6 Oakley 5 King 6 Dyer 6 Fryatt 6 Howard 6 Brown 7 Adjarevic 6
Daggers Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 This was a rare match where me and Beaumont Fox will probably chalk up the same scores. All in all a pretty woeful day at the office. Warner is simply too up and down. A5 tops Starting defence - none of them get more than a 5 Oakley - a totally shit first half and an average second - 5 King - largely absent - 5 I had gradel down as better than Dyer
Bert Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner 5.5 (Once again, didn't convince me at all either with his keeping or the speed and lack of thoughtfulness/accuracy in his distribution)Gilbert 6 (Okay til his injury) Kisnorbo 5 (At fault for the first and I'm suspicious about the second too. FleckneyFox Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner - 5.5 - Not very good, dont trust him coming for a ball, not sure if he couldve done better with the goals Gilbert - 6 - Did ok against a good opponent, was supported well by Gradel in defence and he did the same in the attack Hobbs - 4.5 - At fault for the 1st, one second Bridges was on his shoulder and he just let him go, was miles away from his man for the 2nd who put in the cross for the goal Kisnorbo - 5 - Hoof, but not bad defensively Mattock - 5.5 - Did his best against a VERY fast Anyinsah, put a few decent balls in the box Gradel - 6.5 - In and out the game, couple of decent shots always commited Oakley - 5 - Quiet scored the goal, not much too say about him King - 6.5 - Broke play up well quiet often, one swerving shot well saved Dyer - 6 - Looks to have more confidence Howard - 5.5 - Picked on by the ref as usual, couldve done better with ball at feet, decent in the air, wish hed moan less Fryatt - 5.5 - Looked lively, couldve scored with a couple of close range efforts Brown - 7 - Rock, learn to pass Ajdarevic - 6 - Nervous but is clearly talented Ref - 0 - Shit Carlisle left back - 0 - Wont see better diving in the Premiership
marko Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 King 7 (Did so much to make the time and space for Dyer to create the first goal, brought the save of the match with a wicked, swerving shot which was bound for goal, had another late shot blocked and was generally his usual efficient self for 86 minutes. Then twice gave possession away with totally uncharactertic punts in the closing stages. Leave it out, if any other player had lost possession like that you have marked them down and slaughtered them, but no, it was Pearson fault for not leaving a striker up top. Your views are very blinkered sometimes. And I concur with Bert, save of the match was from Oakley.
Bert Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner 5 - Meh. Sometimes, he shits me up. Could've done a lot better with both goals. Gilbert 6 - Going well until his injury. Mattock 5 - Premiership? Not next season if today's performance is anything to go by. Can't defend, regularly beaten, shit long balls. Kisnorbo 5 - Aimless hoofs, some good defending at times, but very wasteful. Hobbs 5 - Sloppy marking today from Hobbs, we know he's better than that. Gradel 7 - Enthusiastic, energetic, created a number of attacks, and worked his socks off. Dyer 6 - Two assists, but again he can do so much better. Oakley 6 - A great goal, played much better in the second half after a poor first half. King 5 - Largely to blame for their equaliser, no telling contribution. Howard 6 - The referee was Howards hardest opponent today. Fryatt 6 - Scored, but could've had more. Brown 6 - Solid defending, but too much like Kisnorbo. Adjarevic 6 - Kept things neat and tidy.
lifted*fox Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner - 6 - Distribution is ok when throwing, shakey when kicking. Decided to run a marathon at one point... get back in goal! Gilbert - 6 - Looked tiny today. Supported well by Gradel but was out-run on numerous occasions. Hobbs - 5 - Hobbs has really stepped up since Tunch went, but had a complete 'mare today. Out of posistion, out of the game. Kisnorbo - 5 - IMO, upsets the balance of our defense. Why break up the Hobbs / Morrison pairing now?! Mattock - 5.5 - Sure he was actually asleep for the first 45 minutes. Couldn't keep up with their man at all. Gradel - 7 - Put in more effort than anyone else on the field. Tackle over here, tackle over there, running about like a mad'un. Oakley - 5.5 - Extra point for the goal, still don't think he can hold the team together in difficult situations. King - 6.5 - Did a fairly decent job but I blame him for the second goal. Hoofed the ball back to them twice, ultimately resulting in their goal. Dyer - 6.5 - Looked more like the Dyer we knew at the start of the season. Shame the rest of the boys have gone to sleep. Howard - 5.5 - Won his headers, usual hold & flick on, but too many of them went to Carlisle. Targeted by the ref over & over... & over. Fryatt - 6.5 - Seemed to work harder today. Won lots of corners & should have scored from close range once or twice. Nice header. Brown - 7 - Been sceptical since his AWFUL game at MK Dons, but he was solid today. Calmed the defense down & directed the players. Ajdarevic - 6.5 - Couple of poor first touches, but looks promising. Has talent, hope he settles & uses it. Ref - 0 - Had an absolute fooking nightmare. The refs have been getting worse & worse as this season has gone on.
Thracian Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Leave it out, if any other player had lost possession like that you have marked them down and slaughtered them, but no, it was Pearson fault for not leaving a striker up top. Your views are very blinkered sometimes. And I concur with Bert, save of the match was from Oakley. King was to blame for giving the ball away because he well knew there was no out ball and I've said that quite plainly. the fact that no-one was left up front was Pearson's fault and attention has been drawn to it in the past. But slaughter the lad? The ball ended up in their half. If I slaughtered people every time they hit a 35 yard bad pass into our half, people like Kisnorbo, Hobbs, Morrison and even Brown on occasions wouldn't get any marks at all. As for the save that's simply opinion.
Milky Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner 5 - poor mans david james. Gilbert 5 Kisnorbo 4 - raped all game. Never got close to his men. Hobbs 4 - went walkabout several times. Mattock 4 - most over-rated young player in the game? He's just not smart enough. He's still young though. Gradel 6 - needs to work on his left leg Oakley 6.5 - At least he tried to get things going. King 6 - took a back seat Dyer 6 Fryatt 6 - Not clinical enough with all his guilt edge chances. Howard 6 - don't like how quickly he starts moping around and lets his head go down. Not the role of a senior player. Brown 6 - sured up the defence a bit. At least he got into the attackers. Ajddarevic 6 - not sure he had total control of his body!
Father Ted Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner 6 - Dodgy kicking at times from the floor but excellent out of his hands! Not much to do and couldn't have really done much more with the goals IMO. How I've been waiting for a goalie like him to turn up here - quality! Gilbert 6.5 - Was going solidly until he got injured. Dealt with very much everything and supported Gradel. Hobbs 6 - Dissappointed me. Lost his man for the first goal and was fairly anonymous at right-back. Was a threat from set-pieces though. Kisnorbo 5 - Nothing but hoofing and fouling. Someone said that he is the best header of the ball outside the Prem. I'm sorry but he's not a patch on Hobbs when defending long-balls. Mattock 4 - Shocking, was absolutely pissed on today. Bruno should be playing left-back. Dyer 7 - Hit a bit of form today. Got the ball and ran at defenders and got 2 assists. Just still doesn't know how to use his right foot and that is why I think so many teams have controlled him recently. Oakley 5 - Got in the way. Cannot take set-pieces. PLEASE NEVER TAKE ANOTHER FREE KICK OR CORNER!! Got a goal though - the only decent thing that he did. King 7 - I only realised today just how vital he is to our team. He has that presence there that is so crucial, he keeps things ticking and gets in the box. Kept unneccessarily doing Kisnorbo hooooofs at the end. Gradel 6.5 - Should never have been taken off. Was a bright spark again and really played their no.3 dickhead. Fryatt 7 - Was lively, held the ball up well and scored. Holds on to the ball just that second too long though. Howard 6.5 - Won the ball when brought upon and was useful with the ball at his feet aswell. Doesn't get in the box enough though. Brown 6 - Solid but another hoofer. Ajdarevic 5 - Doddering around and boring. Carlisle's no.3 0 - fook off back to Scotland!
Ultra Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Warner - 5. Never looked comfortable today. Gilbert - 6. Was doing OK until his injury. Kisnorbo - 5. Two horrendous lapses for their goals, no communication with Warner all match. Hobbs - 6. Reasonable but no more. Not entirely comfortable at right-back. Mattock - 5. Struggled against their winger. Distribution was wayward too. Gradel - 7. Looked to make things happen throughout. Very unlucky to be subbed. Oakley - 6. Once more, a desperately uninspirational performance as skipper. His goal earned him extra marks though. King - 6. Two stinging shots, but overall his return didn't bring the impact that was hoped. Dyer - 8*. His return to form in the second half, which brought him two assists, was the only high point of the afternoon. Fryatt - 6. Took his goal well and might have had one earlier. Still lacks the spark he had earlier in the season, though. Howard - 5. Another less than glorious return. Didn't win enough aerial challenges. Brown - 6. Tidy rather than spectacular. Ajdarevic - 6. Active without being particularly creative. Is he really a better option than Berner, Gradel or Adams?

Possibly but Millwall will probably drop points anyway. So we wont need 3 wins. 2 should be enough.
Thracian Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 King 5 - Largely to blame for their equaliser, no telling contribution. Apart from a major contribution to the goal that put us ahead, of course.
