davieG Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 I'm not saying he's a bad player or even our worst, far from it. It's just that ever since he's arrived at LCFC things seem to go wrong when he's around. Even writing this post I found I couldn't post it and had to redo it Only jest really as I don't believe in jinx's but I'm getting there.

Yes. Definately.

Edmund Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Were we not only praising him last year when he was one of better defenders with mcauley and we had a good defensive record. He has been layed off for a while.

Yes but even last year twice he was mistakenly sent off and if I remember correctly, although I've tried to wipe it from my mind were we not beating Sheff Weds in a game that would have prevented relegation and he went and got injured.
Joe. Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 I just don't understand why we brought him back both times this season. Our defence has never been particularly leaky this season, far from it. Hobbs and Morrison seemed to be doing a good enough job both times, but then Kisnorbo is brought back for no apparent reason. It if 'aint broke and all that...

Fair enough in terms of luck he does seem to have it a bit hard. Lets just hope he hasn't pissed off the heavens. If he is, he will be taking the award from Frank Sinclair.
Jonezy Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Definitely something divine going on.... Maybe we can we get some Haitian medicine man to unjinx him.......

I thought the earlier season crap form was down to Hobbs playing shit too At least thats what you said to me when i said it was Kisnorbo's fault Hes a dirty defender TBH, always all over their strikers, and lucky to get away with many.
Finnegan Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 It's common sense, really. He's been out nearly all season and they're trying to throw him back in in April? He's not been around all year, he's out of practice, clearly won't be match fit and might still be reeling from the injury. Why on Earth are we playing him? I'm not saying he's a bad player or that he has no future here but why disrupt an alright defence? Morrison might not be quite Tunch but he was doing an alright job and Hobbs and Morrison must know each other well enough by now. Daft, to me.
leftsideoverhere Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Hes a dirty defender TBH, always all over their strikers, and lucky to get away with many. I don't know about dirty, but there's really no point holding the attacking player around the waist when the referee is stood three yards in front of you, yet that is Kisnorbo's standard approach to defending every long ball. We're lucky he doesn't give away more free kicks.

Couldn't agree more, unnecessary change that has obviously disrupted things. Not Kisnorbo's fault mind, that lies at Pearson's door I'm afraid.
Hitesh Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Yes but even last year twice he was mistakenly sent off and if I remember correctly, although I've tried to wipe it from my mind were we not beating Sheff Weds in a game that would have prevented relegation and he went and got injured. We were winning and I remember saying to my dad as he got injured that it would be a tough job for whoever went into CB for him. He was having a good game, but I'm starting to believe that he is a curse on the team. :-(
lifted*fox Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 stupid change made for no apparent reason. hobbs & morrison have done alright together the back end of this season. our defense looked nervous & seemed liked they'd never even met before today. all over the place, totally out-ran most of the game. if it ain't broke...
iancognito Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 Yes, I'm beginning to think so. Even last week I was prepared to give him the benefit but FFS get Brown back in there with Hobbs for some steel. Kis looks like a lightweight fairy in comparison.
carterfox90 Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 yes get rid what has morrison done wrong nowt cant get over today bottled it big time
Thracian Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 I really have no idea why we're playing him anyway. I'm no great fan of any of our three alternatives to play alongside Hobbs but Brown at least tries to play football out of defence from at least some of what I've seen and Morrison seemed to cog in quite effectively with Hobbs even though it was often ugly. Kisnorbo's a good athlete and wholehearted defender at his best but he's not been anywhere near his best in those aspects since his return and, apart from the occasional moment attacking set-pieces, the rest of his game is almost always iffy.
Father Ted Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 I don't think he should start on saturday I also agree. HOOF, FOUL, HEAD THE BALL, HOOF, FOUL, HEAD THE BALL, ETC.

You mean Brown... Pearson, like previous City managers, is placing too much emphasis on experience, even when players are well short of match fitness, as is the case with Kisnorbo.

I think Kisnorbos problem is he didnt have a pre season i think when fully fit he is up there with the best centre backs in this league if not the best

Thracian Posted 4 April 2009 Posted 4 April 2009 THe thread was not about his ability If anyone's described him as a titanic defender he could be jinxed I suppose.
