Fox92 Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 think he meant recalling Kisnorbo at Peterborough & Oldham
Fox92 Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 If that's the case then I apologise Apology accepted then.
Dom_Harborough Fox Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 I do rate Morrison & i think that he is a less risky option than Kisnorbo at the moment. He has been pretty solid this year & much as I rate Kisnorbo, I think it was a mistake to bring him back in at this stage of the season when the defence had been fairly settled in his absence. That said, I think he has come in for a bit of unfair stick recently. Yesterday I was more disappointed in Hobbs than Kisnorbo, mainly for allowing Bridges to get away for the 1st goal. I watched Hobbs track Bridges all the way right until the last second when he decided to go towards the ball instead, leaving Bridges free & unmarked to lift the ball over Warner. I was also pretty impressed with Brown when he came on. I think he looked very solid, especially considering he's hardly played since he joined us.
Daggers Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 This season has been perfect for Morrison. His first season in league football. League One is quite a physical league too, and this will help him no end. He hasn't played every game, which will keep his feet on the ground. When he's played the majority of the time he's been dependable, but he has made a few howlers. This is only down to in-experience though. Pearson has done a good job in nurturing him, and in a few seasons he'll be a good centre back, as to the average centre back he is now. *bump* Just in case anyone missed this. Morrison is not "the answer". Yet.
Katy Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 I would like to be so bold as to say, Kisnorbo has ruined us since he has returned from injury.
Mark Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 I would like to be so bold as to say, Kisnorbo has ruined us since he has returned from injury. For the second time.
lavrentis Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 Just made me laugh how on the main forum index page it said "I prefer Morrison...." Mark Just made me laugh
Lillehamring Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 I think Kisnorbos getting a bit of unfair stick..... hes been off so long with injuries its going to take time for him to get back to his best. He was one of our better players last season (if not the best) its not his fault hes come back at a very difficult point in the season and our form was poor before he came back. I do think we should have left him on the bench for the rest of this season though and give him a full pre season to prepare for next. I thought Hobbs was worse yesterday too. which lays the blame squarely on the shoulders of mr pearson. i guess he had to chose between him and brown (who had also been injured?) i don't think our bad form is as much to do with morrison, kis or brown as it is to do with not having the tunchonator
clazkel Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 so do i, Morrison is my preference, hes improved soo much since pre-season. I feel abit sorry for him as he always seems to get dropped for Brown or Kisnorbo, yet i think the defence was looking quite solid with Morrison and Hobbs, not as good as when Tunchev was playing tho! I think the amount of times the goal keeper has changed has probably unsettled the defence aswell, but there hasnt been an option
RowlattsFox Posted 5 April 2009 Posted 5 April 2009 I would like to be so bold as to say, Kisnorbo has ruined us since he has returned from injury. Kisnorbo has played 2 games since he's come back. we've been poor for longer than that so I don't know Kisnorbo has ruined us, yeah he was poor-ish on Saturday but to blame him is harsh. I think a problem we have at the minute is that the full backs are drastically out of form and are clearly lacking in confidence, full backs are more of a concern to me than the centre back positions.
carterfox90 Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 if it aint broke why fix it should have kept kisnorbo on the bench him & brown both out jumped by dobie on saturday said it all
lcfc_jme Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 I have a question.. Is Wayne Brown actually any good? I've seen him play once and remembering thinking he was a pub defender: A man of large build, strong, muscular and bald head, uncomfortable on the ball and a large hoof down-field.

I feel the same although to be fair he looked better than Kisnorbo and Hobbs when he came on on Sat. but was just as culpable if not more so than Kisnorbo for the Dobie goal getting in Kisnorbo's way.
The Doctor Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 i wanna see tunchev and kisnorbo at the back together tunchev ent lost a header kisnorbo is solid and he scores goals Maybe the past two seasons but not this one

5waller5 Posted 6 April 2009 Posted 6 April 2009 I prefer anything to Kisnorbo: Morrison, Brown, a kipper fillet.Anything. Our defence is not a cohesive unit with him playing and he is the one player left in the squad who is just too used to losing. It crosses threads - Kisnorbo by himself is not a bad player, but like DJ he is not our player. He is the wrong jigsaw piece, he is a bit with pictures of puppies on and two sticky out and two sticky in sides whereas we need a piece with sky on it and two flat edges. I couldn't agree more and have been saying this (in real life!) for quite some time ..... Skip is a good player - he just doesn't fit into a partnership with any centre halves we have at the club - and nor did he last season either. I like him and wish him well, but i'm not sad to lose him. Interestingly I think it's the reason that he keeps getting picked when he's fit ..... NP knows he's a good player and wants to see if he can find a way to fit him into the side .... it's fine - just preparation for next season - and i think NP realises what we do too. scinnell Posted 7 April 2009 Posted 7 April 2009 morrisons to youngs and inexpierenced for the run in
Chrysalis Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 It may be harsh but it's also true. Pearson should never have changed a settled side just to accomodate Kisnorbo. Error. in full agreement. Kisnorbo came back in twice this season if I remember correctly. The 1st time he came back in whilst we were winning games and we immediatly stopped winning games, when he was out again we went back to winning games. This time we wasnt on form anyway but at least the defense was settled and not conceding many goals. I would love for someone to ask pearson why he is picking kisnorbo when the defense was fine. If the defense is good we can be crap all game and sneak a 1-0 win from a fluky goal, however with a leaky defense we need to take the "we can score more goals than you" attitude and that generally requires a team that is confident.
davieG Posted 8 April 2009 Author Posted 8 April 2009 morrisons to youngs and inexpierenced for the run in So what happened to all that experience in the last few minutes against Carlisle when the combined experience of Brown, Kisnorbo and Warner couldn't prevent a preventable goal from being scored.
The Doctor Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 So what happened to all that experience in the last few minutes against Carlisle when the combined experience of Brown, Kisnorbo and Warner couldn't prevent a preventable goal from being scored. the reason we conceded was because warners a dramatic fool, brown didn't appear able to jump in that match and because Kisnorbo is Kisnorbo.
Lillehamring Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 the reason we conceded was because warners a dramatic fool, brown didn't appear able to jump in that match and because Kisnorbo is Kisnorbo. nicely proving DavieG's point and contradicting your own - sharp stuff
Tilley Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 I prefer Morrison to anyone of our central defenders bar Tunch. Fuck Hobbs. Morrison & Tunch next season please.
