I would be absolutely horrified if we signed Beckford. Horrified. I would actually want him to fail. Not the club to fail, I'd want him to fail

I dont think youve got anything to worry about... cant see us signing him

I wouldnt mind having him here saying that... just dont think wed get him

Granted he's a bit of a tit but his goalscoring record is very impressive nonetheless. If we signed him and he scored 20+ goals for us next season then i could maybe learn to love him.

I suppose if Leeds didnt go up again ( :fc: ) he could be a possible target. Rather him than Lee Hughes!

Look at it this way, Signing him would fook Leeds' one man team up and they could rot in League One for many more years, even if you didn't want him here!

Beckford's a :innocent: compared to that scumbag!

It would definitely be a case of the lesser of two evils though!

I doubt we wil get all of those but thats a very good list. Holland I think though might be past it and i reckon he will stay with Charlton.

Wilbraham would be a good signing but I cannot see us having him, Cox , Howard and Fryatt.

I think we definitely need cover for Howard and I would like Wilbraham most or Lee Hughes with Zheng Zhi the playmaker.

It will be interesting to see just how ruthless Pearson can be in the close season. It's clear that he can be a mean so-and-so by the blanking of Psssh but anyone can make an example of some kid.

I just wonder if he'll have the bottle to shed the deadwood among our regulars, people who helped him win a title. Cos that's the sort of rutghlessness he's going to need from now on. We cannot afford to carry such a long list of passengers as we had in our squad list this season.

i like to see here Andy Dorman from St Mirren Scott Severin from Aberdeen Simon Cox Bradley Wright-Phillips

No way would i want BWP he has a bad attitude and i dont even rate him either.

I also think Pearson would know this having been at Southampton

I said in the Lee Hughes rumour thread that I wouldn't mind him actually.

He did something stupid when he was drunk, do you honestly think that Ian Wright would've condoned what he did? Obviously not. It was a stupid, petulant thing to do, but not everyone's perfect. If he wants to come here and score goals, then I'd take him. I'm sure plenty of other players have done worse, but have had the luck not to be picked on by the press.

Yeah it's definitely the press' fault.

Im not sure he has blanked him? Pssshhh goes in the same bookies as my lad and told him hed been ill. Then a guy my lad works with said hes got something wrong with his nerves or something? He certainly didnt disappear as some people are saying... hes always around the Saff. lol

I hope Saganowski is never mentioned again. Ever. Maybe three years ago yes, but he's wank these days.

The only time I ever mentioned him was a couple of weeks ago when a couple of people wanted him over Cox, 2 years ago it would be a yes.

Really if Pearson signs someone from Southampton thats poor then theres something really wrong with his player judgement.

Fook those two, let's go for Simon Cox, another two goals today, the boy is scoring for fun. Let's make sure we find out how good he is in the championship, Jason Scotland has continued his run of goals in the championship as he did in league 1, there's no reason why Cox can't in theory.

If not then possibly get a season long loan of a young premiership striker e.g. Danny Welbeck, Giovani Dos Santos, Jay Simpson, Macheda (probably not but hey!). We saw how well Fraizer Campbell did for Hull last season, might be worth a punt.

If we're looking for 6 or 7 players then Pearson should have the nouse and know-how to bring in the same mix of young loanees and experienced ‘old hands’ that he recruited this season.

We still have a number of players who’ve been with us this season where we may look to make their loan moves permanent or bring them back on loan for part or the whole of next season – so folks like Gilbert, Martin, Stockdale and Cleverly are all likely to be targets.

The experience in League One and Pearson’s own knowledge of the league is likely to mean we take a look at some of the players plying their trade there at the moment, especially younger prospects such as Cox and N'Guessan.

There’s also likely to be younger players from the championship who emerge as targets, particularly from those clubs who’ve either gone down or been promoted and are looking to trim their squads which might open up chances to bring in players like Surman, Jarvis and Shelvey.

As well as younger players Pearson has also brought in a few old heads, with the likes of Powel, Dickov and Brown, so there a chance he’ll be looking to do something similar with out of contract and older players in the prem and championship – and their should be plenty of opportunity to do this over the summer.

After the number of younger loanees Pearson has brought in this season it’d be surprising if he didn’t look to do something similar this season and bring in some brighter players from the prem on loan. The tremendous advantage we have here is that Pearson is seen as a credible manager who the bigger clubs are happy to trust with their younger players – so perhaps securing the likes of Bale, Gunter and even players like Welbeck isn’t totally unrealistic.

All in all, if Pearson acts as he has this season he’s likely to bring in the same balanced range of players with an emphasis on younger prospects complemented by one or two older players that he has this season – a welcome change from the nonsensical transfers activity over the last few years.

Federico Macheda on loan ;)

Personally would rather have Welbeck.

I honestly believe welbeck is one of the worst players ive seen in a long long time, no control, no strength, poor shooting, hes a gangly mess in my opinion, i have no idea what hes doing at united.

May be crap against Everton, but he won't be playing Everton, he'll be playing Peterborough, Doncaster, Blackpool, oh and Newcastle
