Would be a lovely season long loan, release Kingy to get forwards and get a few goals. Plausable too. At least relative to Adriano.

But he wouldn't be cover for Howard. I think Nige might have to be a bit ruthless with the strikeforce. They are both good players with something to offer, but as individuals they are limited and as a pairing they aint Championship standard. We need more mobility so we can play in different ways. I'm going to throw a name out there. Leroy Lita. Bit of a big time Charlie but has class and is a great athlete. Still only 24 and had a 1 in 2 scoring record on loan to crap sides like Norwich and Charlton. Take a punt Nige.

He was playing really well before his before his brief return to Stoke around Christmas but wasn't quite as good in the second half of the season. He is better going forward than he is at defending and has a mean long throw. I don't think he is good enough for the prem (at least not yet) so now it looks as if Stoke are safe they may well be willing to sell. One player currently at Tranmere that would be worth a look is their captain Anthony Kay, a defender turned hard working midfielder with an eye for goal. I am sure Tranmere don't want to sell but are not really in a position to turn us down if decent money is on offer. Simon
