Samilktray Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Has this turned into the "players with African names we could sign" thread? No.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Really? I dunno from what i read about the 'affair' it seems to me he is a petulant little **** who thinks because he's a footballer he can do what he wants. Including fooking over women that don't fancy him.I suppose it depends on the misdemeanor, beating up women isn't my bag which is why i didn't particularly didn't like Collymore. Lee Hughes is a good example, would you want him here? I think not. For me liking my football team has got to have something to do with the integrity of the players and indeed liking them, not just as football players but human beings. They are also role models. What kind of example is Wright-Phillips setting? Do what you want if you can't have your own way. Calling me mental for not liking a player because of their misdemeanors is a little harsh as it's purely opinion. I said in the Lee Hughes rumour thread that I wouldn't mind him actually. He did something stupid when he was drunk, do you honestly think that Ian Wright would've condoned what he did? Obviously not. It was a stupid, petulant thing to do, but not everyone's perfect. If he wants to come here and score goals, then I'd take him. I'm sure plenty of other players have done worse, but have had the luck not to be picked on by the press.
Tilley Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Kelvin Davies or Joe Murphy Kerrea Gilbert Chris Taylor Andrew Surman Adam Lallana Andy Robinson Gary O'Connor Dexter Blackstock
dandannieldanok Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Stockdale or Martin Kerrea Gilbert Tom Cleverly Ryan Shotton Chris Taylor Damien Johnson or Medhi Nafti Paul Gallagher
samjohnson Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Definatly could do with yet another keeper, Stockdale on a full contract would be nice

No offence but "something stupid" equates to putting a traffic cone on a statue or breaking a window.... what he did was far worse than stupidity! I think 99% of us on here have been drunk at one time or another but we dont choose to get behind the wheel of a car and then hit someone and leave them for dead and then try and get away with it .... thats not stupidity thats the lowest form of life.

I also think he got away lightly on the punishment. I really dont think we should sign him, i dont rate him as a player too much. The only goals he gets are simple tap in's or goalmouth scrambles, which we don't really see much of at Leicester
Lillehamring Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 come on, some one must be able to come up with some overseas players.....
General Smuts Posted 25 April 2009 Author Posted 25 April 2009 come on, some one must be able to come up with some overseas players..... Andreas Ivanshitz Jason Culina
Salieri Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Andreas IvanshitzJason Culina That name rings a bell. Australian? Weren't we linked with him a while back?
Matt Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Not gonna happen I don't think but Cameron Jerome anyone? Just thinking Birmingham going up I love him in the championship, would he cut it in the Premiership should Birmingham go up, may want offload him Was also looking at Kevin Phillips for the same reasons, but he has gone 'off the boil' latter in the season hasn't he? I've certainly not seen him scoring as prolifically as he has in previous seasons and as he was earlier this season

Birmingham have Reading on the last day of the season and Birmingham are fighting against Sheff Utd for Automatic Promotion I think.

Jerome would be good. But Danny Graham out of contract at struggling Carlisle would be a very decent little signing for us.
Fox92 Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 A goalkeeper is required so we have a few to stab at. Joe Lewis [Peterborough United] Joe Murphy [s****horpe United] David Stockdale [Fulham] David Martin [Liverpool] Kelvin Davies [southampton] - A little dodgy though I would like a full back as well. Although I would attempt for Gilbert, we need a few back up plans - don't know many right backs though. Kerrea Gilbert [Arsenal] Frank Simek [sheffield Wednesday] Midfielders are key. I would have a stab at a few so there is competition. Zheng Zhi [Charlton Athletic] Andrew Surman [southampton] Rudolf Skacel [southampton] Peter Leven [Milton Keynes Dons] Although I would start with Fryatt and Howard, we need a striker or two for competition. Rickie Lambert [bristol Rovers] Marek Sagnowski [southampton] Marcus Tudgay [sheffield Wednesday] Simon Cox [swindon Town] None of these, apart from Tudgay, are big men really and we need one of those. Any ideas?
Joe. Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 I hope Saganowski is never mentioned again. Ever. Maybe three years ago yes, but he's wank these days.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Zheng Zhi is a very, very, very good player. I dont want Joe Lewis though
Joe. Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 Zheng Zhi is a very, ver, very good player.I dont want Joe Lewis though He'd be too expensive anyway.
Guest ttfn Posted 25 April 2009 Posted 25 April 2009 I would be absolutely horrified if we signed Beckford. Horrified. I would actually want him to fail. Not the club to fail, I'd want him to fail
