Finnegan Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 As much as I hate Chelsea, they were robbed! 4 good peno shouts and didn't get a single one... Disagree with all this stuff about being robbed. They mugged themselves. You can't rely on the ref to give you decisions, you have to go out and play football to win and Chelsea didn't. They got a somewhat lucky goal from a long-ball scenario and they sat on it. Even when Barcelona had a defender wrongfully dismissed they sat back and let ten men come at them. I think Hiddink is quality but he's played anti-football for 180 minutes in this tie and you just can't expect that to work for you. Say what you will about Man Utd but even against an utterly beaten Arsenal they never stopped coming forward on the breaking and creating real chances to score goals. They properly put the game to bed. Chelsea didn't and that's why they lost. On nights like this, no matter what happens, Barca are always going to keep coming and coming and they've clearly got the quality to score if given half a chance. ****sakeeeee. Hate having to root for United. So don't? Do as I will be and just enjoy the spectacle of two fantastic teams pitting it out as a neutral?

Normally I have nothing against Barca but I know too many people waxing lyrical about them and wanking all over them, gets right on my fucking tits. Undeservedly gone through. Daylight robbery.

Maybes Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 Two were clear as day handballs, Drogba (yes I know he tends to be a diving ****) was actually brought down twice...but forget the Drogba (potential) dives. Two handballs! One handball yes. The Drogba ones never. The one with Abidal, Drogba had a bad touch which led to the ball running through to the keeper.

Ref was ridiculous. 2 handballs, the first on Pique was unbelievably blatant. Plus the foul on Drogba. And for the red card I thought Anelka had clipped his own heels, but I don't know. Drogba at the end was brilliant 'it's a fooking disgrace' But I think part of the reason he's so livid is because he knows his chance should have secured the game. Tame effort from him. Ah well, come on United now! Can't be having Barca win this thing!

MC Prussian Posted 6 May 2009 Posted 6 May 2009 As for the two "crystal clear" handballs from Barcelona, the hands NEVER went to the ball, rather away. Right decision by the referee, methinks. And keep in mind both Anelka and Drogba tend to trip rather easily once in the opposing box.
