Daggers Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I still think we should give him a go. He wasn't worth £1.6m for no reason. Have a pint of Carlsberg.
dimmerchant Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 You've lost me. Carlsberg don't do players, but if they did, they'd be DJ Campbell? Close as I could get.

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Fooking hell. Didn't think he would get a sniff again. Hope he scores but he will still be a willy puller.
Edmund Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Mind you with Howard and Waghorn on the bench I doubt he will even get a chance.
lou Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Quality news last time he came off the bench at Leyton he was awesome!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Looked up for it getting stuck into the challenges but didnt look threateniong though. Not sure whether Im pleased to see him back, but he got a fairly good crowd reation, with a few chants of 'DJ, DJ, DJ'.
Guest Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 bet maddog's been cracking one off all afternoon after this
Ozwin Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 If it was at home he'd have got booed. Away fans are far more tolerant.
Edmund Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 If it was at home he'd have got booed. Away fans are far more tolerant. Would he though? The majority of supporters don't care like the bandwagoners on this forum. There happy just to see him play for city. You seem to think that what is represented on this forum is the same in the stands. Unfortunately that is not the case as we have seen with goal music.
lildave3 Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Majority of people seemed quite pleased to see him named in the squad, although I did hear one guy 'That twat Campbell's on the bench'
Thracian Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Pearson must have been listening to thracian And a good job too. Seriously the three-man change was a masterstroke. Suddenly the Coventry defence was jolted out of its comfort zone and had a whole trio of dangerous players to deal with and all of them making their presence felt in and around the penalty area where we needed them.
maddog Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 bet maddog's been cracking one off all afternoon after this At half time at Cov, i was all over it! Loving that Dj is back. And waiting for him to score some critical goals, then i will start gloating
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 I think some people forget DJ Campbell is a human being like anyone here - and is therefore susceptible to making mistakes. Which I'm sure if he was to own up, he'd say he's made a few errors... but don't we all. If he wears the shirt I'm going to encourage him and not jeer him. Whats the point of jeering one of your own?

Budweiser Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Give him a proper run in the team, say 5 to 6 games and hopefully he scores a couple. Then we might be able to offload him
Guest Bilo Posted 3 October 2009 Posted 3 October 2009 Have to say that Deej looked every inch a changed character from the moody bugger demanding a move a few months ago. Chased everything, took a couple of knocks but dusted himself down and carried on and came close to scoring. An encouraging performance from him and his City career may not be dead yet.
