Uncle Albert Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 If he had any sense he would certainly take over at Real Madrid and leave Arsenal.
Darkzzz_ Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Would he? I think he has done the right thing with their track record over the past few years. I do wonder who will be next on their list, I think Perez has made it clear he doesn't want Ramos.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 May 2009 Author Posted 20 May 2009 I just think Arsene Wenger deserves more success and I think he is the man to turn Real into a major force they once were, finally Wenger would be able to have the funds to buy who he wanted. Arsenal are going nowhere quickly and it will be a while before these current youngsters can do something.
welck12 Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 He should stay at arsenal. He's built the club up so it has the right mentality and atmosphere. he has the support (well the majoirty anyway) of the fans and board and with a couple of more physical players brought in to sure up the spine of the team they can do a lot of damage in the next few years. To leave that to go to a team that has a crap mentality, demands instant success, (will) have a president who buys who he wants; he'd be stupid. Yes he'd have more money but as proven in the past he wont have final say over bringing in certain players. Unless he does things as the pres wants he's gone, just look at what happen to del bosque

While Perez is a huge fan of Wenger he's still going to want to get involved with signing players. Probably all the attacking players under the sun while neglecting the defence (and still claiming that Makelele was crap and they didn't miss him).
welck12 Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Didn't Wenger get annoyed because some of the board has been criticising him? From what i've read yeah he has, it does seem to only be a minority though. But then again could just be certain people playing it all down
Alexikokopops Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 From what i've read yeah he has, it does seem to only be a minority though. But then again could just be certain people playing it all down Yeah, it's only a minority I think. It's the first time he's really been criticised in his Arsenal reign though, and it's also the first time he hasn't immdeiately come out and debunked rumours about him leaving. If Perez could keep his nose out and be patient that it'd be an interesting move, that's for sure. That's a big IF though.
breadandcheese Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Is it contract renewal time again for Wenger? Everytime his contracts up for renewal he flirts with a big European club.
Raj Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Yeah, it's only a minority I think. TrickyTrev Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Is it contract renewal time again for Wenger?Everytime his contracts up for renewal he flirts with a big European club. Yes. And he is trying to increase his transfer budget.
JoeyB Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 If Wenger wants to spend money at arsenal he has the money to spend so people keep saying. Why would he want to leave a club which he has built how he wanted and go to a club where after 1 season if the results aint right he's looking fo anothe job?
Samilktray Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 13 million to spend in the summer, so it says on the BBC sport rumours page.
Koke Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Wenger would be out of his mind to join that embarrassment of a club. Real Madrid is a circus and Wenger is a intelligent highly respected man. They don't go together.
Dr The Singh Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 13 million to spend in the summer, so it says on the BBC sport rumours page. That's peanuts, he needs atleast 40 mill, or generate that kind of amount by selling players!! Madrid is a risky move, alot of stuff seems to be going on behind the scenes, I think he wants to leave the arse with atleast another league title or champoins oeague trophy!!
welck12 Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 They want £20m at least for Adebayor on top of that. They should bite anyones hand off who offers that. £20 mill, 2 new solid centre backs, or 1 powerhouse centre mid would do them nicely. They should have eduardo fully fit next season to replace him as well
dandannieldanok Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Cheeky swoop for Hiddink on the cards for Real? Unlikely given his previous spell in charge of Real.
General Smuts Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Unlikely given his previous spell in charge of Real. I can't believe i didn't know he managed Real. That's shambolic.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 (and still claiming that Makelele was crap and they didn't miss him). Can't believe he said that. Zidane got right pissed off. Real don't need that much changing, if they'd have just bought a world class defender, midfielder, and striker, they'd probably have pushed Barca (I mean, been a bit closer to Barca). Three players, really.
Uncle Albert Posted 20 May 2009 Author Posted 20 May 2009 If Arsene could go to the Bernabeu and get some of his lads to sign then I'm feeling... Casillas Ramos - Gallas - Pepe - Clichy Diarra - FabregasArshavin - Van Der Vart - RobbenVan Nistlerooy

Koke Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Well, he isn't going anywhere. He's better off staying at Arsenal anyway. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...nal/8058981.stm
