Ultra Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 Couldn't be further off the mark. Murray's less supportable due to his attitude. For never having won a major, he's quite arrogant. Also, do you remember when he said he wanted England to go out of the world cup? Well most of Murray's support is English, and they found it a kick in the teeth and a bit disrespectful when he came out and said that. That was banter, nothing more. The media twisted the comments into implying that Murray hates the English, even though, as he's made clear on many occasions, he doesn't.

shen Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 Gonna say, he was only joking. And even if he wasn't, why is it such a big deal?
StanSP Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 I didnt mean to disrespect him but murray was seeded 3 and Gonzalez 12 so he should be beating players like that. Not necessarily. If every player thought like that then there would be no point in playing the match. Gonzalez played much better than Murray, even though Murray played well to his standard. Anyway, he's out. That's that. I'll be happy if Gonzalez beats Soderling and goes on to win the whole thing. I like the look of the Chilean and the way he plays. Plus, anyone who beats Nadal deserves a beating
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 Good to see an aussie doing well at the french hasn't happened for a while. Glad that sammy has started showing what we know See can when she stays fit.
maddog Posted 3 June 2009 Author Posted 3 June 2009 That stream is fooked now. Serena just had to comeback, she better hurry up and win. Bloody hell they are still playing. Missed the entire 1st set of Federer pretty much
dandannieldanok Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 Serena just had to comeback, she better hurry up and win. Looks like this could take a while <_<
maddog Posted 3 June 2009 Author Posted 3 June 2009 Probably missed the best set in tennis history, just to watch these 2 men, EDIT Women. Federers break point down at 5-5 according to my live score thing. Hes got it back to deuce. Come on Kuznetsova win this game Feds gone 6-5 up, still no breaks of serve in the set, the set that i've totally missed Yes Kuz here we go!!! if Williams goes out, it to be quick to catch the possible tiebreak in the 1st set of Fed. 2 match points Kuznetsova hurry hurry hurry. For fook sake shes lost them both
maddog Posted 3 June 2009 Author Posted 3 June 2009 Stream that works, better than nothing. Tie break now http://www.iraqgoals.net/ch1.html Kuznetsova wins just in time to see the last point of the 1st set
maddog Posted 3 June 2009 Author Posted 3 June 2009 Federers through easily and i can't see what looks like Del Potro troubling him at all in the Semis. It's Federers or Soderlings tournament
Flynny Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 Personally I prefer Murray, at least he has a personality and a bit of a sense of humour, unlike Henman, who seemed to be made out of cardboard a lot of the time. I can see why some people would find him abrasive, though.

maddog Posted 3 June 2009 Author Posted 3 June 2009 I reckon you're going to be in for a nasty surprise when Gonzalez plays Soderling. As long as Federer wins and i claim my £50 winnings i don't mind And some people laughed at me when i put £5 e/w on Federer to win it at 5/1 prior to the tourney. No ones laughing now. It's a Susan Boyle esque audition performance.

I know you would still get money for that but wouldn't be spending the £50 yet.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 3 June 2009 Posted 3 June 2009 At the end of the day who cares about the men's tourni. When there is an Aussie in the womens semis for the first time in 21 years.

Although it does look like his year, if he doesn't do it this time I reckon he never will.
Number 6 Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Nadal has pulled out of Queens with knee problems, wonder how close Fed could get in the rankings before Wimby?
Milky Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 Nadal will have so many problems with those knees as he gets older. At least he'll have access to the best health care money can buy.
Number 6 Posted 5 June 2009 Posted 5 June 2009 This French crowd are a bunch of morons. I understand cheering winners but cheering every unforced error is irritating. Plus the annoying shouting noise before a big point is really getting on my nerves.
