Some good songs on there, "Doom" my personal favourite, but with all the leaked tracks that there have been, I thought there would be a few better songs to fit the theme of the album. "Girl of my dreams" just doesn't fit at all and is clearly a money spinner due to getting the traction from BTS' fans. Shame really to wait so long for something a bit underwhelming. Think some of the songs will grow on me after a few more listens though. 

It's growing on me a fair bit. Doom is a really decent song.

Been listening to Marquee Moon by Television for the first time in ages. Pretty good stuff.

I mean, they’re no Memorial Device, let alone Memorial Device with Mary Hanna, but not bad at all.

Once you get past Verlaine's somewhat irritating vocals. Somehow this band managed to be branded as 'post-punk', when in their inception they were pre-punk. Lloyd's got to be one of my favourite guitar players. 

 

Always amused me that clutch of bands around the Franz Ferdinand ilk that completely ripped off their sound...both 'Television' and 'Wire', massively plagiarised.

Been listening to the latest Volbeat album these past few days. Really enjoying it, they have gone back to being heavier as well. A few of the riffs/songs have a real Metallica feel to them. Here's one from that record:
