lavrentis Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 It's on ArsenalTV now if anyone has it. I think it's free with some Sky packages? Was this when Sinclair hoofed the ball up and Dickov headed in the first goal?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 I went to this. The first real time I can remember standing up all the way through a game. The best chant I heard for a long while was at that game: "You've only come to se Leicester!", I also remember "We're just to good for you" as at the start we actually awesome! Remember the Dickov goal after great skill from Sinclair (who was my MOM), he easily took it round that Viera guy. He threw his shirt into the crowd after the game then the next day he was released. Talk about playing like its your last game! I remember watching the trophy presentation as well after the game with around half the City fans who also didnt want to leave.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 I remember watching this on Premiership Plus. It would have been awesome to fook up Arsenals unbeaten season
lavrentis Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 I remember watching this on Premiership Plus. It would have been awesome to fook up Arsenals unbeaten season I remember watching it on television live. Was it live on Premiership Plus, can't Imagine we paid to see it
Narborough_fox Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 I remeber listening to this on the radio. I was only 7 at the time. I also remember the home game were we drew 1-1 and Scowcroft hit the post and we could of easily won.
maddog Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Remember watching this one in the pub. Utter hysterics when Dickov scored that goal early in the game. Shame we couldn't hold on.
ASH17LCFC Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Wasn't this the last game of the unbeaten season ? Remember when we scored was more laughter then cheering. I watched the game in my City shirt. After the game i went out in my Arsenal shirt

Ultra Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 It's on ArsenalTV now if anyone has it. I think it's free with some Sky packages? Arsenal TV is part of the Setanta package.
Libertine Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Quality game. Bergkamp did his trademark through ball for Viera's goal.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Wasn't this the last game of the unbeaten season ? Remember when we scored was more laughter then cheering. I watched the game in my City shirt. After the game i went out in my Arsenal shirt Why did you have an Arsenal shirt
Ultra Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 I remember this game well. We had an absolute stonewall penalty at 1-1. Even the gooners admitted it should have been given.
Guest Posted 2 June 2009 Posted 2 June 2009 I remember watching the trophy presentation as well after the game with around half the City fans who also didnt want to leave. I went to the game with my dad, and he said it would be the only chance we'd ever get to see the PL presentation. Back in the day when the season could end on a Saturday.
iancognito Posted 7 June 2009 Posted 7 June 2009 It only dawns on me when I read some of the comments here just how far we've fallen since the heady days of regular trips to Wembley and Europe in the 90s in that some of our younger supporters don't remember when we were a top 10 Premiership team and matching and beating the 'big four' was a hobby not a dream. The quicker we re-establish ourselves, at the very least as Championship challengers, the better.
Ozwin Posted 8 June 2009 Posted 8 June 2009 It seems a lot longer than 5 years ago. I remember going mental when we went 1-0 up, I used to get text alerts on my phone and I kept that single 'Dickov - 35 mins' (or whatever time it was) for years. How sad.
