Father Ted Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 No he wouldnt of been fine, he has no experience and throwing him into the Premier League straight away would of been a mistake. Would Pearson throw Luke O'Neil into a League game? No he wouldnt that's why he signed Mark Edworthy last season. Sami Hyypia wanted to move on, that's why he turned a deal down at Anfield. Because maybe Rafa brought him in as Hyypia's replacement? Someone who can come in as cover when Agger, Skrtel or Carragher does get injured then he can come in for them. And Kyrgiakos could be getting a coaching role out of this transfer. I think Pearson probably would throw Luke O'Neill in now. Ayala would have to gain his experience somewhere and it looks as if Benitez has no intentions to send him out on loan at the minute and would be willing to give him a go. As for Kyrgiakos getting a coaching role, that is laughable and a very poor excuse

And how is it laughable when Benitez did the exact same thing for Pellegrino?

Yeah now he would but O'Neill has featured in cup matches for Leicester, where has Ayala hasnt. And how is it laughable when Benitez did the exact same thing for Pellegrino? Except Pellegrino was signed on a 6-month contract and played for Deportivo Alaves after Liverpool. It's like me now saying that Richie Wellens has signed a 3-year contract at Leicester and because he is 29 (1 year younger than Kyrgiakos) then he will be given a coaching role. It is a pathetic excuse to use.

This is Kyrgiakos' last time of playing in the biggest league in the world and playing in the Champions League. Let's leave it at that because we arent going to agree on it.

General Smuts Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 19.51 Ipswich have handed a short-term contract to former Hartlepool goalkeeper Arran Lee-Barrett. My mate (his brother) just told me about this. Happy for the lad as he's a massive Ipswich fan. Will replace Shane Supple nicely i think.
AjcW Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 http://in.reuters.com/article/sportsNews/i...-41950620090824 Good cover signing for Barcelona.
Ultra Posted 25 August 2009 Posted 25 August 2009 Man City sign Sylvinho Now they have cover for Wayne Bridge, does this mean they'll let McGivern move to us?
Edmund Posted 26 August 2009 Posted 26 August 2009 Man City sign SylvinhoNow they have cover for Wayne Bridge, does this mean they'll let McGivern move to us? Decent signing for them. There squad is gathering some quality in depth with Lescott also signing. It's now a question of wether they can settle together and play together. Also Hughes will have a job keeping them all happy with plenty of competition in most positions.
Budweiser Posted 26 August 2009 Posted 26 August 2009 I read in the paper today Glen Johnson is on a staggering £139,000 a week I just can't believe that. Oh and Park is set to get a new contract worth 65,000 a week. Madness. Pavlyuchenko seems like he will leave Spurs, not suprising. Why did Sky advertise transfer deadline day? What a joke.

Pavlyuchenko seems like he will leave Spurs with Chimbonda going to Blackburn as well, seems the sort of Big Sam deal imo.Why did Sky advertise transfer deadline day? What a joke. I think people like park and benayoun are underated at the big clubs, the seem to do alot of the donkey work in my eyes. But johnson on that much is shocking.
AjcW Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Carlos Edwars and Grant Leadbitter sign for ipswich. You wonder why he couldnt of done this before the start of the season to give them a decent start.

StanSP Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 Rasiak and McAnuff gone to Reading. Jay Simpson (Arsenal) on loan to QPR
Budweiser Posted 27 August 2009 Posted 27 August 2009 2 cracking signings for Stoke. A snip at 11m imo.
StanSP Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 Sneijder to Inter Milan. Think he'll be a star there. Robben to Bayern Munich. Ribery on his way out?
AjcW Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 Sneijder to Inter Milan. Real Madrid are foolish idiots... there best player when he wasnt injured last season.
lildave3 Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009  Real Madrid are foolish idiots... there best player when he wasnt injured last season. At the end of the day, they now have Kaka and Ronaldo. Sneijder is quality, but they're hardly gonna miss him that much...
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 Great move for Sneijder if that's actually happened/happening.
