adamthered Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Forest in triple swoopSo who are they going to sell to recoup the funds for this spree? First of all, I come here in peace! Basically, we aren't planning on selling anyone. The money is being spent so we can add to our squad - one that was woefully small and inexperienced last season. Our aim is get back to the Prem. Whether that happens this season, next season or in 5 years, we want to be there but first we have to build a squad that is good enough, and big enough to challenge at the top end of this league, and this is what we are doing now.
dandannieldanok Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 As much as it pains me to say it, Forest are building a pretty good squad, Gunter and McKenna are very decent signings. Even though they signed Dele Adebola (), their strike force is looking a lot better than ours currently.

I think we've got good options upfront (Dele filling the "big lump" role) and a solid midfield. Now if only we had more then one full back....
RedHux Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 Joel Lynch makes it permanent yay! Someone who can pass himself off as a full back!
Asha Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Good move for Kissy as well. Good to see him find a club relatively quickly.
dandannieldanok Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 The only reason he's gone there is because Leeds offered him a contract straight off whereas Derby wanted to play him a few times to see if he was any good. He admitted that he didn't want to get injured trialling for Derby.
lou Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Am very jealous of Forest making some decent signings Joel Lynch is another good one! Glad Kissy hasnt gone to D***y and good luck to him. Hope Leeds look after him

Hope Leeds look after him He's got a decent cross on him and can play lb as well as cb which makes him everso usefull to have around. Also, Blackstock's back
Fosse Boy Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Forest for the play offs. To be beaten by us in the final. I'll keep dreaming...
Ultra Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Canaries swoop for Stephen Hughes I'd have thought League 1 would be too physical for him. He should have stayed in the SPL.

Tilley Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Sheffield United agree fee of £3 million with Manchester City for Ched Evans.
Tevez Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Sheff United sign and have some cracking players but they always fail at points in the season.
Tilley Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Acc. to Eto'o's agent. £45 million, Eto'o & Hleb on a season long loan for Ibrahimovic....
dandannieldanok Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Acc. to Eto'o's agent.£45 million, Eto'o & Hleb on a season long loan for Ibrahimovic.... Unlike a lot of people, I rate Ibrahimovic really highly, but that is laughable. What on earth are Barcelona thinking, cracking deal for Inter if true.
Fox You Forest Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Barca agree Keirrison deal Looking forward to seeing what he's like in real life.
AjcW Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Barca agree Keirrison dealLooking forward to seeing what he's like in real life. You and me both. Great signing for my beloved ... Ive watched a couple of his games when he was in brazil and he's certainly a talent. Poor Real MADrid are going to suffer this season
Asha Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 For my beloved ... Please stop saying that. It's a bit gay.
