Asha Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Care to expand?? Eto'o, Hleb and 45m for Ibrahimovic? As milktray said, mugs.
AjcW Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Eto'o, Hleb and 45m for Ibrahimovic? As milktray said, mugs. Ibrahimovic has the flair that suits the barcelona front line, his flicks and tricks will suit the passing along the penalty box that barca specialise in. Etoo is no doubt a fantastic player but I feel that he is more of an Inter style player and Ibra is very much a barca style player. Yes Hleb was a mistake but he was only a backup stop gap player and to be fair cost pennies in todays market.

AjcW Posted 23 July 2009 Posted 23 July 2009 Sorry, but your 'beloved' Barca have had an absolute ****ing mare offering that. Dont get me wrong I think its an ott offer. But im not complaining, fresh faces are always a good idea. And please stop taking the piss. Ive got nothing against you so why bring up those comments.
AjcW Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Alexboy17 is a mug. Can we have more of a sensible debate about this instead of just silly little remarks like "alexboy17 is a mug" and "your beloved".... Surely it would make for a much more interesting thread if you put reasons for your opinions and we had more of a discussion rather than people just being rude??
Darkzzz_ Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 You have to watch for the Barca haters here, still bitter about knocking their "beloved" Chelsea out. No in all honesty though, Barca have had a nightmare here if/when this deal is complete, Imbrahimovic is talented but does not show it enough if at all. I would have kept Eto'o anyday, Villa was the only player worthy of signing, he would have fitted in just right. Looking forward to the clash with Madrid, should be interesting to see the monopoly team in action.
General Smuts Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 14.11 Sheffield United have completed a trio of signings after landing Ched Evans, Ryan France and Keith Treacy. Sheff Utd are having a barnstorming transfer window.

I think pep can get something out of ibra, of course I may be wrong but time will only tell. I base my opinion on the way pep managed to turn around henrys fortunes last season... in his first season he was beyond bad under reijkard but when pep took over he had a great season. And im also looking forward to the madrid clash, cant wait to go and see it.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Does anyone think that 3 mill for Ched Evans is too much. I first heard rumours of 1.5 and thought that was a fair fee, but if Cox went for 1.5 how come Evans is worth 3 and he isnt really proven at any level is he?

EDIT: And in a very good Man City team.

Which even you have to admit is ludicrous.

Absolutely, but thats todays football market isnt it, its not strictly barcelonas fault. Maybe a few years ago it would of just been a straight swap. But the money that barca are paying is a joke... it may have something to do with spanish club presidents trying to compete with each other... hmmm
RedHux Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Coventry's Danny fox goes to Celtic Couldn't see what all the fuss is about. McCleary handed him is backside on a plate at the CG last year.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Good little buy for Barca, that, providing they let him develop. Never saw much of Keirrison at Coritiba but what I saw of him in the Libertadores for Palmeiras was pretty exciting. A season long loan in Portugal will do him good. Also, Ibrahimovic believes his own hype completely, I'd take Eto'o over that twat any day.

And I agree with you on the loan front. I can see Bojan in ahead of him as back up this season so a loan would probably suit him.

lildave3 Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 Bolton have signed Zat Knight and Sam Ricketts. I hope Villa are planning on buying a couple of defenders, I think they've only got Davies and Cuellar as centre backs now haven't they?
