lildave3 Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Maybe NP is going to shift Mattock on the left wing? He's better there than left back anyway
Bert Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Bruno and Joe as our left backs for this season are fine with me.
davieG Posted 12 July 2009 Posted 12 July 2009 Bruno and Joe as our left backs for this season are fine with me. Parks looks ok as an emergency back up as well.
Toby or not Toby Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Linked again today Leicester manager Nigel Pearson is ready to snap up Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern on loan. (Daily Star)
Pricey Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Doesn't overly excite me. probably a good young prospect, but is left back our priority for cover? Could mean Mattocks on his way out which wouln't please me.
Mark Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 We've got more left back options than strikers, we shouldn't be looking anywhere else till we got that sorted now.
ronnup Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Part of the mattock chain. We sell Mattock when he returns from England duty, then we get this lad in as cover, potentially to buy. then Pearson spends the Mattock money, and Campbell wages, on a wicked striker. Maybe...
soley118 Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Has NP thought this through? didnt know we was trying to resign ben thatcher
CosbehFox Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 He'll be signed next week IMO. He's currently playing with Citeh in South Africa atm.
ob1kanobe0 Posted 25 July 2009 Posted 25 July 2009 He'll be signed next week IMO. He's currently playing with Citeh in South Africa atm. The young bloke who does RL com said at 2.55 today that he thought ray'll be signed.
Edmund Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 Is this likely then?? Stringer said a couple of weeks back it looked a cert, surprised it hasn't gone through yet. Maybe it hangs on the Joe Mattock deal.
Jon the Hat Posted 6 August 2009 Posted 6 August 2009 Stringer said a couple of weeks back it looked a cert, surprised it hasn't gone through yet. Maybe it hangs on the Joe Mattock deal. What the one the club knew nothing about until Mattock the Evil phoned from his international location and asked for a transfer? Shocking.
Sly Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 What the one the club knew nothing about until Mattock the Evil phoned from his international location and asked for a transfer? Shocking. We could always swap Mattcok for McGivern
Fez of Mahrez Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 What the one the club knew nothing about until Mattock the Evil phoned from his international location and asked for a transfer? Shocking. I share your cynicism.
Mark Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Is this likely then?? Less likely http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/bl...ticle103343.ece
MPH Posted 7 August 2009 Posted 7 August 2009 Less likely http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/opinion/bl...ticle103343.ece yeah read in the mirror and just got home to type it... seems like Man City have turned us down.... looks like it will be burner on saturday...
SMX11 Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 Heard MH on SSN say that a few of the young player could go out on loan, maybe a revival on this rumour?
Bert Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 If I'm being honest, right now I think Pearson's pretty content with the squad. If we were to strengthen, then this would be the position it'd be in. We have Berner, who's been outstanding, and Chrissy Powell, who has been good when he's played, but won't be able to manage a set amount of games like Bruno, if he got injured. But then we've always got the option of slinging in Luke O'Neill or if worst comes to worse, Lloyd Dyer. City won't want to send out a youngster to sit on the bench, cos they could be doing that there, or playing reserve games etc, so If we did get someone in, it'd be a backup for Berner I'd imagine, but we already have that in Powell.
Jay Posted 28 August 2009 Posted 28 August 2009 can't see us signing a left back we can always loan at a later date if we get any injuries but for now and judging by the way Berner has played can't see anything happening
