Mikey Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 i think we should stick with howard, fryatt, dickov, hayles, chambers and N'guessan rather than sign an over the hill welshman. (he was born in chester so don't give me the "he's English" bollocks) I know you're joking, but please don't say something like that ever again.
Jon the Hat Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Owen to Olympiakos anyone? I doubt it very much, as it is well known Owen was not happy playing overseas. If he didn't like being 2 hours away he is not likely to move 4 hours away.
The Doctor Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 I know you're joking, but please don't say something like that ever again. what is it you don't like about that comment then?
Babylon Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 Mate he could shift Rochdale shirts in Burkina Faso. Look at all his brand values that he most definitely has So fresh and so clean clean.
The Doctor Posted 30 June 2009 Posted 30 June 2009 Er........Chester's in England. good job i don't do geography then.
Ultra Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Big Sam rules out move for Owen I'm sure Michael will be absolutely distraught by this news..
dandannieldanok Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 The radio said he was talking to Sir Alex.... Unbelievable, does **** all for years except collect his huge wage and then could possibly be considered by the Champions of England.
Uncle Albert Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Michael Owen at United? Does he want lose everything he achieved at Liverpool in an instant?
Mikey Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 what is it you don't like about that comment then? Dickov? Hayles? Have a word.
Tevez Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 He'll be back to his best if he goes United. A player who Fergie has always admired.
Ultra Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Could be VERY smart business by Sir Alex. And a Rooney-Owen strikeforce might pay dividends for England too..
Joe. Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Owen to United, almost done? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...ter-United.html
dandannieldanok Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 Oh dear oh dear, sold Ronaldo now possibly getting Owen.
Libertine Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 Oh dear oh dear, sold Ronaldo now possibly getting Owen.
Darkzzz_ Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 As one of Owen's biggest critics over recent years I did laugh at this news. However, now that I have thought about it, It really could be a very clever move, they pay nothing for him and he would be certainly going to a club that gets the best out of their players (maybe a few exceptions a long the way). He is a goal scorer after all and with him being around the stars that United have it can only help him in the long run to work under Sir Alex. As someone mentioned earlier, Rooney and Owen on fine form could be excellent news for England, I am sure if he has an excellent season at United, the nation would love to see an in form Michael Owen get selected for the world cup, for me this is a win win situation, unless of course he breaks his legs and retires for good.
Jon the Hat Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 I would like to point out the HUGE weight of authority which Sir Alex Ferguson brings to our Owen is still a huge talent who just needs a break side of the argument. Go on son.
Babylon Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 If (and it's a big if) he stays fit, it could be inspired. Owen needs chances to score goals, he won't create his own chances any more. Newcastle created very little last year so when Owen did play he looked very poor, in a team that can create a hat full he can do very well.
