Leicfox Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 No Leicester bid for Wolves’ KeoghWolves chief executive Jez Moxey has denied that Championship new-boys Leicester have made a bid for striker Andy Keogh. Reports have suggested that the Foxes were ready to pay £1.5million to land the Republic of Ireland international. But Moxey said: “It’s nonsense – there has been no bid for Andy Keogh.” http://www.expressandstar.com/2009/07/03/n...r-wolves-keogh/
Granno Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 http://www.expressandstar.com/2009/07/03/n...r-wolves-keogh/ Hopefully it means no bid 'yet'.
Ozwin Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 DEE EYE ESS KEOUGH We have to sign him for that chant alone.

StanSP Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 If £1.5m was the rumoured price we bid, that's pretty good.
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 Hopefully it means no bid 'yet'. I think it means MM [the loanee ranger] does not want to pay that much
Fez of Mahrez Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 Great minds and all that Not at all, can't take any credit for that, just expanding what you posted. Brilliant chant. Just hope we sign him now if only for that chant.
morris1234 Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 i know they are covscum but what about 'away from here - the enemy' andy keogh oh oh an-dy keogh andy keogh oh oh AN-DY KEOGH
Finnegan Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 The symbol for Potassium!? I think that's a little over the intellectual heads of most football fans.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 3 July 2009 Posted 3 July 2009 Haha great chants! If we manage to get Keogh and Wellens i'm going to be very optomistic looking at next season. Milan says we are rading premier league clubs for talented young players aswell. I'm excited
Collymore Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 A lot can happen when you go on holiday, you go away come back and not only have you signed a player, the former club is then looking to resign them! Wolves have dismissed speculation linking them with a £1.5m move for Leicester City striker Andrew Keogh http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sports-n...week.5429475.jp
MikeyT Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 Here as well. From skysports.com Wolves have dismissed talk that Leicester City have tabled a bid for striker Andy Keogh. It was believed the newly-promoted Foxes had offered 1.5million for the former S****horpe United marksman. Keogh recently committed his long-term future to the club after extending his contract in February until 2012. Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey has played down talk Keogh could leave, stating no bid has been made. "It's nonsense - there has been no bid for Andy Keogh," Moxey told the Express and Star.

Alot can be read into what Jez is saying. For example, 'there hs been no bid fo Andy Keogh'. Could be interpreted as there have been no bids but he is expecting some? He hasn't said he isn't for sale at all at any price, so is he looking to sell should the right offer come about?? Mandaric needs to do something here. Cough up and sign him up! Make Wolves an offer they can't refuse! But not too much .
milan_foxes Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 Here's Another Link From the Independent About Being No Bid. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/footbal...09-1731022.html
dandannieldanok Posted 4 July 2009 Posted 4 July 2009 Hope we don't bid, Keogh is a similar type of player to Hume, a grafter with some decent quality but ultimately a scoring record that doesn't particularly stand up against the best. £1.5m is a large amount of the budget to spend on a player of that ilk.

Yeah Hume was shit! I hate players who are scoring goals in a terrible side, they piss on my cornflakes big time. Top scorer for 3 seasons running what a ****. We don't need players who can score goals as we have Matty Fryatt & he is really really good & I think he will score lots of goals because he is great. Hopefully we can stave off the interest of the Champions League sides & keep him. :city: :fox:

And we do need players who can score goals, hence why I'm personally saying no to Andy Keogh who has a disappointing strike rate in a team which creates more chances than most. Not once have I mentioned Fryatt. You've completely missed the point, instead trying to be funny.

I was not trying to be funny at all, & I appreciate you did not mention Fryatt, however my *joke* post was an exaggerated example of the shit that gets written on this site. IMO it has gotten a lot worse in the past few months? Maybe it has been so noticeable because I have been away from the site for a while but some of the stuff written on here, some members must be on drugs, or maybe Blanderson is having an effect as chief spindoctor?

If you want a 20 goals a season striker, expect to pay a lot, lot more.
