Dan Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 I had a feeling we would be linked with him because they bought Doyle, also I said I wouldn't mind him in the Wishlist thread, would be a very good signing IMO, quick, young, what we need up front really. Keogh is that creativeness we lack upfront, he will create the chances Fryatt and co will need to score! Howard? Howard & Keogh >> Fryatt & Keogh.
Dan Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 I do hope Howard is back up next season. To Nathan Ellington?
leicesterseddon Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Good Morning,i haven't posted in a while, however today some interesting news was brought to my attention, about the possbile signing of Andy Keogh from Wolves for a fee of around £1.5mil. Wolves completed the signing of Kevin Doyle yesterday and with Sylvain Ebanks Blake signing a new deal early last week, this could be further evidence that Keogh is on his way to The Walkers. I have heard this from a very reliable source (Wolves Fan). Apparently a few clubs are interested in snapping the youngster up and Leicester City are believed to be one of the front runners.... Just wondered what people's views were if we were to sign him? Just a Wolves fan? Not exactly a reliable source... Would be a good signing though Boom boom boom everybody say Keogh, Keogh!
The Doctor Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Just a Wolves fan? Not exactly a reliable source...Would be a good signing though Boom boom boom everybody say Keogh, Keogh! on that basis KIA isn't a reliable source because he is "Just a leicester fan"
Samilktray Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 on that basis KIA isn't a reliable source because he is "Just a leicester fan" Except he works at the club.
Dan Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Just a Wolves fan? Not exactly a reliable source...Would be a good signing though Boom boom boom everybody say Keogh, Keogh! That is absolute top quality on that basis KIA isn't a reliable source because he is "Just a leicester fan" He got the Cox deal wrong, although on 2nd thoughts he said the deal was 80% done, not 100% so meh.
bluebeau Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Except he works at the club. I thought KIA had emigrated or too shy to come on the forum since he got things wrong regarding Simon Cox & N'Gessan? Twud be good to hear from him though.
SystonFox Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 would be a good signing if we want to push up the league. better than some of the drivel F*rest are signing.
morris1234 Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 I thought KIA had emigrated or too shy to come on the forum since he got things wrong regarding Simon Cox & N'Gessan?Twud be good to hear from him though. how did he get them wrong, he didnt say they were done deals at the time, and we did sign n'guessan and we did go in for simon cox but they wanted too much dosh for him, simple as that, KIA was right! - legend!
Vlad The Impaler Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Have been a long admirer of this lad, doesn't score too many but i would pay up to 2 mil for his services.

Not gonna get into a argument with you, but if you look up his post regarding the 2 players concerned he didn't get it right, he got things WRONG. But having said that, he knows a damned sight more than I do regarding City. But this is a free speaking forum, so open to all comments good or bad. That's all I have to say on this subject.
WardyisPukka Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Keogh and Ellington would be suitable additions, did Keogh play much last season
Legend_in_blue Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 MM flash the cash. I'm a little bit miffed tbh. Having read that WBA are putting in a £2million bid for Cox, which has been accepted, and us having pulled out of that. Ok, so it may not be concrete, but it still annoys me. WBA may have more clout having just been relegated but we are bigger than them. Call me arrogant, I don't care, but if MM is going around claiming promotion and this and that after 3 years, then we need to be out competing the likes of WBA. And now £1.5million for Keogh. Yes, 500k makes all the difference obviously. MM had better not get on NPs back, because he's going to have to pull of a managerial masterstroke to get us anywhere near promotion contenders if he's not flashing his cash about. Loans and free transfers will only get us so far up the table. Yes, there might be another Izzet, Lennon, Savage, Guppy etc out there but times change.
Matt Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Just text a Wolves fan I know asking him about him and what he thinks, this is his reply: "If you offer 1.5 I will drive him myself! Work hard but can't finish. Sort of a poor mans Kuyt" Hmmm despite that i'd love to have him here, Although he goalscoring record does marry up with my mates comments, and in the past few years we've had to many players the "Work hard but can't finish" causing us to be in relegation battles in the past few season's we've been in the Championship.

The People's Hero Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Works hard but is selfish and occasionally scores good goals so judging by the ridiculous idol worship of Hume and Gudjonsson I've witnessed at this club, he'd probably be hailed as the second coming.
Super Arj Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 people talk about him being "unprolific".. but what chance did he get last season.. to be quite honest he was benched due to probably the best strike partnership in the championship.. good signing in my opinion.
foxoffderby Posted 1 July 2009 Posted 1 July 2009 Boom boom boom everybody say Keogh, Keogh! Glad people like that took me about 5 seconds this morning. We've got the chant lets get the player! Boom boom boom everybody say Keogh, Keogh!
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Rule # 1 of being a Leicester fan never get to excited or expect anything.
MauriceJobson Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 "City in for Keogh" in The Sun this morning and therefore must be true.
Babylon Posted 2 July 2009 Posted 2 July 2009 Rule # 1 of being a Leicester fan never get to excited or expect anything. I expect disappointment... is that ok?
