Brainy Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 I've heard we've turned our attentions to Delroy Facey
flanimal Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 Will be playing under a good manager. You mean Gareth Southgate? You serious?!
C-man Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 You mean Gareth Southgate? You serious?! I quite like Southgate. Why do you think he's a bad manager? Dignified, likes his team to play football in the right way. They were unlucky to go down last season - they created enough chances but they just couldn't score. Bad in defence too. Southgate will sort them out and they'll go back up in my opinion.
Matt Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 I've heard we've turned our attentions to Delroy Facey That, erm fills me with excitement...
Maybes Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 You mean Gareth Southgate? You serious?! Yes I do, he is their current manager.
Tilley Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 To be fair, I don't just want us to sign any old stiker but we've had all summer to get this sorted and I'm fully aware that it might take a while to find the right player but this is an on going problem from last season and although we wrapped up promotion fairly late on, it was all but nailed on that we would be back in the Championship so all the scouting etc should have been started months ago and we shouldn't be left in this position just one week before the opening game.

Maybe if Pearson or whoever swallowed their pride and played Campbell we could have sold him by now or at least had an alternative to you know who. Whoevers behind this has well and truly messed up our start to the season.
Joe. Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 That, erm fills me with excitement... Come on Matt, you don't think he's serious surely? Delroy Facey is a terrible striker.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 Oh for fuck sake.We miss out on yet another striker. Getting ridiculous now, with one week to go and Fryatt not match fit, we're facing the very real prospect of Dickov having to play. I don't care what anyone says, the situation is far from ok.
flanimal Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 N'Guessan to start upfront first few games, then Fryatt to go back in when fit. Sorted.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 N'Guessan to start upfront first few games, then Fryatt to go back in when fit. Sorted. He's not a striker though, everyone tore Holloway to bits for playing people out of position so why is this different.
Unabomber Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 He's not a striker though, everyone tore Holloway to bits for playing people out of position so why is this different. Because Holloway had a choice.
flanimal Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 ... and N'Guessan looks like he might do the business. We can give him 4-5 games surely.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 Because Holloway had a choice. Well that just exposes Pearson's poor preparation, if you don't have a choice before the season even has started it doesn't bode well. ... and N'Guessan looks like he might do the business. We can give him 4-5 games surely. Ifs and buts, I'd rather everyone stick to their proper positions.

mod hero Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 I've heard we've turned our attentions to Delroy Facey i think getting relagated 2 league 1 has stripped us of all credibility. i hope to god we dont end up like sheff wednesday. think we gotta hope that fryatt and howard do the business for us, cant really see us getting anyone better than those 2 tbh.
