Leroy Lita on his way to Middlesboro'

Can't see this one happening if he's truly playing the field.

NP is a disciplinarian and if Lita has shown any kind of reluctance to coming here, Pearson certainly aint gonna chase him. This is a repeat of the Cox scenario.

Have to agree with that :(

Lita is done... he wont be here and woudl we want him? I agreee with the comment about Pearson discarding him the moment he shows the £ signs in his eyes. DO we want people who want to play football and play for leicester or just want to play football (even in the reserves) for a paycheque?

Yes we fooking do :fc:

this currently posted on a sheff utd website don't know the source or how accurate?

Lita want's 17'500k pw, we've offered 12'500k with bonuses on a 3 yr contract, it's take it or leave it on the table, basically his agent is the stumbling block.

Killa has an offer from a bottom 4 prem side on the table as i said last week, (bookies odds) at the minute it's looking like he'll be staying but they are desperate to sign him, Killa, if he stays wants a contract review in the next few weeks or in Jan, this bloke is a credit to football, all the promises made to him by sufc have been broken and he still wants to play for the blades but want's a wage in line with people of similar experience.

KM is ****ting himself as he knows the implications of him leaving after the backlash from the sale of the 2 kyles.

I'd get your protest posts going lads, he is aware of the opinion on this forum.

One word Greedy git!!

I fear another DJ on our hands money money money its not about football with Lita now.

In fairness I reckon Sheff U will go up this season.

My mate's a Blades fan and still thinks the trouble at the club lies around Chris Morgan and while he's there they've no chance of going up. Apparently when Hendrie first went there Morgan headbutted him because he had a flash car!

Lita and Evans up front would be pretty tasty though.

Whoop my first proper post.

Welcome! :scarf:

And I agree about Morgan, the guy is a nutter and should be in a film with Vinnie Jones rather than on a football pitch!

Im guessing Leroy will decide what he wants to do today/this weekend and will be announced on Monday, or if were lucky announced at the Walkers against Real Vallaodid :D. Either way, it will be over soon!

Hmm. I think they'll struggle a bit this season. They haven't got parachute payments this season remember, and I've just got this feeling this season they will drop down a bit. Nothing drastic, mid-table perhaps - it will be very competitive at the top next year....

Yeah you're not wrong he's a nutbar, apparently he helped Paddy Kenny look for the bloke his missus had been sleeping with too, don't mess with the Morg! Hopefully he'll take an immediate dislike to Lita and he'll end up coming to us on loan

Wouldn't get your hopes up about this one, can't see him coming here now. Sheffield United have much better promotion credentials than ourselves and wil probably pay similar wages. He'd probably make the first team there as well.

We all have an sense of what Lita is probably like: a bit of a twat. Greedy, bit thick, myopic. He'll probably join United on large wages, and in 2 seasons will be rotting in their reserves collecting the paycheck, in other words United's version of DJ Campbell.

More trouble than he's worth, likely.

Yeah he seems a bit of a hot head and I feel going to a club like Sheff Utd isn't going to help that. I think NP would have at least made him focus on his game.

They've got 25 million coming from West Ham, parachute payments are what, 6 million a season? Have you seen who they've signed? Blackwell is a fantastic manager IMO and Sheff will be a better team next season looking at their signings, probably good enough to take them into automatic promotion.

In fact I think I'm going to start a "Championship predictions for next season" thread so we can all share some egg on our faces in a few months. :D

I think that Midfield is where we will make our difference this time round in the Championship. Not signing Lita or Phillips

There are lots of middling srikers around in championship football who do either well or badly depending on the service and dominance of the rest of their side (example Hume and Fryatt under Rob Kelly when they first joined). All the really good strikers who can create their chances on their own are in the premier league or premier league reserves.

If we create strength in depth in centre mid and wide positions then our current crop of strikers with perhaps one addition will get plenty of goals. So, i can see why we are after Richie Jones and Tom Cleverley to add to Wellens, Oakley, Clemence, King, N'Guessan, Dyer, Adams, Adjarevic and Gradel. We've potentially got a very strong defensive pool to choose from, we know that, and with a strong set of 8 or 9 midfielders we can then worry about putting away chances. All our problems in previous championship seasons have been through not dominating the game by being able to pass and move throughout the team. It is not that we've played great football but had crap strikers. So first things first IMO.

Pearson knows what he's doing.

One possible move i'd be interested to see would be Mattock sold to Villa for several million with both him and Nathan Delfouneso loaned back to us for the season. The transfer fee would stand us in good stead for the January transfer window.

Sell Mattock to Villa, and then have Mattock loaned back to us? So Villa pay for what exactly? I'm probably misunderstanding you.

exactly the way that Kyle Walker has been bought by Tottenham but has been loaned back to Sheff Utd for the season.

Basically the club wants the player - but sees that the next year of their development whilst 18/19 would be best served getting some experience in the championship.

Sam goes for Delfouneso - he won't get more than 6-7 games in the premier league with Aston Villa, but would get 30 at City under a manager who was integral to the england u-21's recently.

I'd fancy a Bench of Delfouneso and N'Guessan sat there in case Howard and Fryatt don't fire.

According to some Sheffiled United fans on 606 there was a Q+A with McCabe, the chairman, and it was revealed that Lita had turned down the chance to sign for them. Apparantly money issues was the problem.
