Leroy Lita on his way to Middlesboro'

Suggestions this afternoon in the Campbell thread that DJ is on his way out - I hope I'm wrong, but this could be replacing like with like.

And before someone says it, of course it's possible that Pearson will get the best out of Lita. However he doesn't seemed to have managed to do that with DJ.

DJ made it perfectly clear that he wasn't happy and was glad to leave.

If you don't appear interested then it seems NFP has no interest in you which is great, we've had too many seasons of teams full of players who couldn't give a fook.

It may well be the reason that Cox wasn't signed.

And if you don't think that NFP got the best out of Howard and Fryatt last season then which games were you going to or did you not go before last season?

AHA lol well most likely he'll be at both those games and of course the Real Vallodid game ;) but this time... he'll be playing. HOPEFULLY ;)

Its the one signing I was hoping for, I have been a little worried about the silence in the transfer window recently.

A little sceptical over this guy. He has the ability, but will he have the right attitude?

If he signs, we will just have to wait and see. Don't let's knock him before he kicks a ball however.

Or question his attitude and NFP's ability to deal with it (if it actually exists) as you have just done.

What the hell, I didn't know this had gained some legs. I'd be well chuffed if we signed him, it's been ages since we've had a proven pacey striker.

He did with fryatt last season?

I take your points, but I was responding to the suggestion that NP would turn Lita into a Premiership-level striker who would score more than Fryatt and Howard. Both of them did well last season in League One having pretty much flopped the season before in the Championship. I'm not sure Pearson can necessarily take the credit for the fact that they started scoring against a lower level of opposition (especially as both had done so in the past) - to be honest, it's the least I would have expected. But if they get back to Championship/Premiership level for us then you would have to say he is doing something right.

My point remains, though, that if he can (according to some) turn Leroy Lita into a goalscoring machine then that will be a pretty big turnaround for a guy who is currently out of contract. If Pearson has these magic skills then surely better to wave the wand over our existing strikers (Howard, Fryatt, Dickov, Campbell) who have all shown at some point in their careers that they can score regularly in the Championship and, potentially, at a higher level.

Well Dickov is 53 and nearing the end of his career and NFP isn't interested as DJ said 'anywhere but Leicester' and quite clearly does not have a footballing brain.

We therefore have two strikers and that isn't enough, we need one if not two new strikers and a goalie PLUS Cleverley back from Man U.

Maybe i got it wrong

What do you mean by maybe?

Either you heard it and he is going or the radio presenter had it wrong or you didn't and were just winding us up by acting the fool.

I'm hoping that you're no fool.
