Collymore Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 BBC Radio Leicester 2:00pm news bulletin says that Leroy Lita is going to the game tonight .Sounds good. Imagine if he ended up sitting next to Bernie
Matt Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 Imagine if he ended up sitting next to Bernie was there.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 I think we should get him, but it worries me that he or Fryatt won't be playing while the other is. (Assuming Howard is always used as the big man). But of course I am sure NP knows what he is doing.
flanimal Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 As much as I am unsure about Lita, it's difficult to complain about a freebie - and if Campbell goes even more so. Nigel Pearson worked with him when he was with the Under-21 team, right? He could unlock his true quality!

He could unlock his true quality! Totally agree there, he could just be the "Owen" of our team next season, assuming Owen might actually end up being a great steal for Manure. I live in Reading and often see his car, a black Hummer with personalised registration, normally parked outside Tesco or ASK but once by the police station.. if we can just keep his temper under wraps he'll be a very astute signing.
casabian Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 get him in norwich would have stayed up last season if he would have stayed, he has scored goals in prem aswel
Mark Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 If we are serious about signing him he should have been signed weeks ago when he was available, he could have been involved tonight instead of no hopers Dickov and Chambers. <_<
MPH Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 I'm a love fool.Go on and fool me. love me! love me! say that you love me!
Kilworthfox Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 love me! love me! say that you love me! Pfft, he is no Goal Ace!
smokey Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 Imagine if he ended up sitting next to Bernie Bernies dead so i doubt it hey!! Died of an heart attack last week!!
Tubes Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 If we are serious about signing him he should have been signed weeks ago when he was available, he could have been involved tonight instead of no hopers Dickov and Chambers. <_< As much as I think he is shite and over the hill, I thought he played fairly well by his stanards tonight.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 If we are serious about signing him he should have been signed weeks ago when he was available, he could have been involved tonight instead of no hopers Dickov and Chambers. <_< Agreed. If he does come, why take so long about it?
Nick Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 Agreed. If he does come, why take so long about it? I've been thinking about this one all day, he is a talent and at Championship Level really could score goals. He is also appears to be a character one that is a little difficult to manage both as a team-mate and a Coach. He has been accused of being a sulker and his effort only proportional to his success at one particular time. The Wiki page on him is an interesting read. I remember when he had a great spell in the Prem a few seasons ago, he held a place in my Telegraph Fantasy Football side for 3 months. He cost damn all and was scoring once a week. I put 3 up front as he was better value than a fourth midfielder at the time. I hope if we sign him it won't 'all' revolve around him, I hope it won't upset the balance of the team. People said about Leeds last season that when they played without Beckford they were rubbish - I think they played a game that revolved around him and when he was injured they lacked creativity. Last season we played admittedly against some really poor opposition, but we had a marvelous season and scored goals from all over the park. I trust NP. I just for some weird reason have a couple of reservations about Lita. I don't want LCFC to be beholden to him, ie when Leroy spits his dummy out, all the heads go down. I don't want to put that kind of power in a man's hands that has a track record of not deserving such responsibility. I think that NP could get the best out of him and that he is a talent, but DJ had a big ego too and when he didn't make the team it was somebody elses fault and he did the dressing room no favours. I see Lita as a similar character and if NP picks Howard and Fryatt for the first 5 games of the season and Lita as a 10 minute sub..... I fear that dummies will cover the training ground. Problem is, on 14k a week if he can't get on at Leicester at the age of 24 and is so arrogant he won't step down a league on loan and others won't pay this for a petulant child, we are saddled with him. I trust Nigel to make the right decision for the club. If he deems it a worthwhile risk I will support him. N.
