dandannieldanok Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Preston have sacked Irvine. Pathetic. Joke decision, like Middlesbrough, I hope Preston fail miserably now.
Corky Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Preston have sacked Irvine. Pathetic. Really surprised. They are mid-table, 8 points from us and 8 from the bottom three. Two wins and they're back in the shake up again.
Guppy Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Also in Championship news on SSN today.. O'Grady to Derby, Scunny or Posh?
CosbehFox Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Also in Championship news on SSN today..O'Grady to Derby, Scunny or Posh? Hahaha. The reason he's doing so well at Rochdale is because of the football and team they possess. Good luck to him but as soon as he goes back to Oldham, he'll struggle.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Can't see why Preston sacked Irvine. He did them justice last year, and should of been given abit more time. Could see someone like Alan Curbishley going, or Alan Pardew.

C-man Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Maybe they acted now so that they could move for someone they want (Ferguson perhaps) before he's snapped up by someone like Wednesday. On the subject of Wednesday, Sean O'Driscoll seems to be an unexpected candidate and Dan Petrescu's odds have shortened to 4s.

Edmund Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Also in Championship news on SSN today..O'Grady to Derby, Scunny or Posh? I've always thought O'Grady had the potential to be a decent player, doesn't surprise me in the slightest.
Edmund Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 Preston have sacked Irvine. Pathetic. Is that 3 clubs in the championship now currently without a manager? Darren Ferguson will go to Preston I reckon. He will be closer to his old man plus they have more potential than Shef Wed and Reading of being promoted.

I think in the long run Reading have more potential than Preston although they're struggling this season. Having said that I too think he'll go Preston, Reading and Sheff Weds don't seem to forthcoming towards Ferguson.
Simi Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 The managerial merry-go-round in full swing after a slow start!
Edmund Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 The managerial merry-go-round in full swing after a slow start! Slow start? You must be forgetting Middlesborough, Peterborough, Plymouth and Barnsley.
Guest Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 We should have a manager sacking sweepstake for the rest of the season. Wonder how long Coleman's got left?
