Koke Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 They go second in the table now, albeit having played a game more than WBA. Looks like a three horse race for automatic promotion.
lildave3 Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Forest are disgustingly good. Annoys me. Stunning goal by Majewski though, he can really hit a ball.
StanSP Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 at the them singing about Mattock What they saying?
MC Prussian Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Forest are red-hot right now (forgive me the pun). Looks like thrashing the opposition 5-1 at home is more or less a regular case. West Brom appear to be totally out of depth and lack the focus needed to collect forces in order to start a promising attack. Very tame. Too tame. And all three goals so far were classy.
Corky Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Forest played very well, but the amount of times West Brom carelessly gave the ball away, under no real pressure, didn't help their cause.
easilee Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Part of me says Mattock, HAH! in yer face you f***er. The other part of me says BOLLOCKS. Fookin Florists are second. I know we have 3 games in hand on them, but i can't work out which outcome pisses me off the most.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 You have to give credit to Forest. They started somewhat averagely but have just been tearing teams apart lately. Really thought that it would be a 1-1 draw or something like that. I just hope we can keep up the pressure on the top two. Billy Davies is probably the best Championship manager in terms of building a squad capable of going up.
Unabomber Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Forest were absolutely awesome in the first half tonight. At least it doesn't make us look as bad after our hammering by them.
Koke Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Long shot, but if we win all 3 games we have in hand we'll have same point as Forest. Achievable, but unlikely.

As much as it sticks in my gullet to admit it, Forest are tearing shit up at the moment. Makes me wonder who out of our lot would swap Fryatt for Blackstock.

Billy Davies is probably the best Championship manager in terms of building a squad capable of going up. They are on an excellent run of form at the moment but the fact that Davies himself has stated that he doesn't believe Forest are ready for the Premiership is interesting. Could he be preparing Forest fans for what would happen if this form came to an abrupt end? After all, his last stint as a Premiership manager was an unmitigated disaster and it could well be a case of 'once bitten twice shy' from him. In terms of SQUAD quality, Newcastle and WBA are the two strongest in the division and are still favourites to do the business. It's an odd league this season though, and anyone can beat anyone. Not many would have predicted that Blackpool would be sniffing around the play-offs and Ipswich hovering around the lower reaches in August. With over 20 games to go, all of these situations could (and probably will) change dramatically. Long shot, but if we win all 3 games we have in hand we'll have same point as Forest. Achievable, but unlikely. I can't see us being more than 4 points behind Forest by the time those games have been played. Cardiff are all over the place and Ipswich have been a huge disappointment, showing Keane to be the epitome of mediocrity. Weirdly, Doncaster's home form makes that game the most nerve-racking for me. Winning all three would undoubtedly be an achievement but we haven't done much wrong besides that disastrous start to December so nothing can be ruled out.

An on-form Fryatt would find a home in most sides in this division.

Fox92 Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 Good win for Forest, knew they would beat West Brom. Think that Forest will finish second and West Brom third. Paul McKenna has to be perhaps the greatest midfielder out of the Prem (along with Dorrans).

Fox You Forest Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 Paul McKenna has to be perhaps the greatest midfielder out of the Prem (along with Dorrans). Should have been sent off last night, dirty bastard. On Soccer Saturday is their a name that Paul Merson can get through without struggling, including his own.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 I've got Radio Derby on through Player and with the Scunny 2nd goal the boos were deafening! I only put it on because they were lsoing but this is getting better!!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 We really want Blackpool to equalise and the same for Barnsley but the latter seems unlikey.
