Edmund Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 Middlesbrough also lose again today. I reckon Southgate was doing a better job than Strachan. I suppose he's not bought his own players but their slowly dropping down the league.

I suppose he's not bought his own players but their slowly dropping down the league. No question Southgate was doing a better job. One point behind Newcastle when he got sacked. Now you need a calculator to work out the gap. Don't believe any of the media drivel that paints Steve Gibson as the model chairman. He's an ignorant idiot just like the rest of them. I'm glad Boro are failing after Southgate got sacked.
Super_horns Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 We got a late point which was good (Bristol City seem to have a nack of gifted late goals..) Few surprises around!

Magnificent comeback from Peterborough to get back to 4-4, from 4-0 down, which helped us out. Not too bothered with WestBrom and Newcastle's results really, cause I can't see them not getting the automatic promotion places. Were still 5th, with 2 games in hand. We win both and were level with Forest.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 We tend to discuss this weeks results in the Championship thread in General Footy
Corky Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 Results weren't too bad, only down a place (on goal difference). Great fightback by Peterborough.
Matt Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 Newcastle are on Sky. Tell you what, I expected Sky and BBC to put more Newcastle games on TV than they have done this season. Quite happy with our position considering we're 2 games behind most teams, Whether we can make the most of the 2 game in hand due to fixture congestion is another question.
DB11 Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 I'm no fan of Peterborough, but that is brilliant! I would love to be in the Cardiff end to gague the reaction at the moment... I'd have preferred the Peterborough end

Yep, they're virtually starved of media coverage this season
davieG Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 Yep, they're virtually starved of media coverage this season I assumed it was sarcasm
Matt Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 I assumed it was sarcasm I was being sarcastic, I didn't know whether Emilio's comment was playing up to my sarcasm aswell though
Fox You Forest Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 Always nice to see Robbie get one in the face.
Guest Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 I assumed it was sarcasm I got it I was being sarcastic, I didn't know whether Emilio's comment was playing up to my sarcasm aswell though And yes it was
davieG Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 I got it And yes it was In that case davieG=whooosh
CosbehFox Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 Are Derby trying to be Cov with that awful away kit?...Another ambitious performance from the Rams in trying to gain as many away draws as possible throughout the season.
Corky Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 Always nice to see Robbie get one in the face. From his own team-mate as well
Fox92 Posted 28 December 2009 Posted 28 December 2009 Watched Derby and was pleased with them, they did well and looked ok. Watched it mainly for DJ and Dickov and although Dickov didn't come on, DJ looked good. He held the ball up well, tracked back and looked fast. Why doesn't he do that at Leicester? Anyway, pleased with Peterborough's come back. Can't believe Cardiff were 4-0 up at half time. Wow!

Oh, don't forget Burton Albion, gutted for them but delighted for Notts County. And what about the mighty Barwell Athletic?!?!

He should have scored an easy goal and can't run at players to save his life. Other than that he didn't play that bad

Other than that he didn't play that bad That easy chance he should have scored, but I did thought that he held the ball up well and tracked back a few times. Gonna say, I wasn't impressed. Ohh, just me then I must have been watching a different match

davieG Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 So Cardiff lose 1-0 at home and draw 4-4 after being 4-0 up against 2 of the bottom 3 teams and people will still be confident they'll be in the play-offs. Worse results than us losing to Forest and Bristol
CosbehFox Posted 29 December 2009 Posted 29 December 2009 The resident Cardiff on TB doesn't rate their back four very highly at all. Alright going forward but as seen in that 6-1 tonking handed out by Preston, defensively poor.
