MC Prussian Posted 16 January 2010 Author Posted 16 January 2010 1311: Liverpool want a penalty, but Brazilian midfielder Lucas is booked instead for diving - and there might not be a worse decision this weekend. Lucas plays a gorgeous one-two with Philipp Degen and Danny Higginbotham takes him out, nowhere near the ball. It's another stonewall penalty, but Lucas picks up a caution that will mean a suspension for him. Shocking refereeing from Lee Mason. I love it how desperate the BBC Sports Football live commentator and Forest aficionado Jonathan Stevenson is getting... Must be a closet Liverpool fan, because he simply can't take it that they haven't been awarded a penalty. From what I've seen, although Higginbotham was close to Lucas, the latter just fell over theatrically. Booking Lucas was a bit harsh, though.

Seen the replay about 4 times now and it was no way a penalty.

It looked to me like Higginbottom would've taken out Lucas but that Lucas seeing that the ball was going out of play and anticipating the impending tackle went down. What I don't understand is how the ref, from his position could decide either way at least not without consulting the asst ref.

Banging on about the electric atmosphere, I bashed on the stream and apart from the occasional burst from the scousers it sounds like the ideal place to find any pins you might have dropped.
MC Prussian Posted 16 January 2010 Author Posted 16 January 2010 **** me!!! Totally undeserved!!! Just like against Villa away, Liverpool score an effing bloody lucky goal.
MC Prussian Posted 16 January 2010 Author Posted 16 January 2010 Get in!!! Robert Huth makes it all square. 1-1 Liverpool didn't deserve to win this, anyway.
MikeyT Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Yay!!!! Well done Stoke!!! Liverpool do not deserve a win at all!
Matt Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Oh dear, Rafa. Fucking Liverpool, I thought they were due a win so bet on them in my accumulator, Bastards. On the other hand I bet on this game on my Goals Galore bet so that has come into play now
maddog Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 i knew Stoke would score, i could just visulize it on MOTD, more heartbreak for Liverpool. I didn't think Liverpool would go there and win and possibly turn their season, and also didn't think they would lose another game so went for £8 on draw and seems to have paid off

Agreed cant believe how quiet it is, do stoke realise they are doing well in the premiership? When they do sing its really loud but they sing about twice during the whole match and liverpool fans have gone downhill fast.
Fosse Boy Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Whoa! Give 'em a break guys, they are in the top 50 most atmospheric grounds in the WORLD after all!
MC Prussian Posted 16 January 2010 Author Posted 16 January 2010 Chelsea are thrashing Sunderland. Lovely football at Stamford Bridge, the London boys are clearly enjoying themselves. 4-0 so far, Lampard just scored.
