Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 I reckon this could have a few goals in it. We nned to make ourselves hard to beat especially away from home, and if that means a crappy 0-0 draw then sometimes so be it. I don't mean play for a draw but at places like United a point is well earned. If we can get the odd few draws out of games like this and win away at the poorer teams that would be a very good away record. But like i said I think there will be goals but can't see us letting more than 2 in any where so I will say 2-1 to them or 2-2.
StanSP Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 I think we'll surprise a few to be honest. 2-1 or 3-1 win. Ched Evans will get a goal for them (I really rate him and believe he'll be a handful). But, we'll come back stronger having conceded and take to the game
The Doctor Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 think that we will struggle but could get something out of it if we play well. 2-1 loss
jaspal1000 Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Chris Morgan to get slated for Hume injury ???
Ford Super Sunday Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 2-2 Draw Hearts broken in 90th minute by Sheff Utd, scrambling an undserved leveller, before Kevin 'willy puller' Blackwell tells the world they dominated the game and deserved to win, when he is just talking bollocks

Nodoubt we would have been 2-0 up too.
Fox96 Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 If we play good I think that we might get lucky with 2-1 victory Hope Ian Bennet plays - I go to school with his son!

ousefox Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 I hope he plays as he is shite! Did you see him drop that Vale free-kick in to the net! That was shocking.

suffolk fox Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Our defence is very strong this season they will not score more than 1. It will be 1-1 Fryatt to score his first goal this season.
Kilworthfox Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Our defence is very strong this season they will not score more than 1. It will be 1-1 Fryatt to score his first goal this season. Will Tunch start? In for Brown?????
deepbluedevil Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Sadly i've got this one picked as a defeat 2-0
bigneville Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 Not many goals in this one. 1-0 or 1-1 Don't fancy us at all, so any points we pick up I class as bonus points.
Toby or not Toby Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 0-0 for me but if we sneak the first goal i feel we could be able to hang on as the blades fans tend to get on their backs if things aren't going there way and are loosing. This was the case on the couple of occassions I was there last season.
milan_foxes Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 To be honest if we can get a draw then in our first 3 matches back in the championship we beat swansea, in the end quite comfortably but then we travelled to ipswich which we dont usually get many points from portman road and then a draw at bramall would be a brilliant start against 2 tough away games and then a hard fought home victory if we could pick up 3 points against barnsley on saturday then we could be on at least about 7 points but then its the newcastle away match that could buggar us up, we just need to take confidence into the game and put 100% in. If we do well and keep getting them odd draw's at away games and the wins at home then we could be settling in to the top half and wont be budging
maddog Posted 16 August 2009 Author Posted 16 August 2009 I want the team to be this: Weale Neilson Tunchev Hobbs Powell Gradel Wellens Oakley Adams Howard Waghorn Subs: Brown, Berner, King, Dyer, N'Guessan, Fryatt, Logan But it will probably be Weale Neilson Hobbs Brown Berner N'guessan Oakley Wellons Dyer Howard Fryatt Subs: The rest

Sparky Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 2 very good sides defensivley so ill go for another 0-0
maddog Posted 16 August 2009 Author Posted 16 August 2009 Why would you want Brown dropped when he is playing outstanding at the moment, Tunch will force his way back in time!! Just to give others some game time and those who played at Ipswich a rest. NP has been talking about a strong squad ethic needed for this season, so although he rarely makes loads of changes, i think he may spring a few surprises for this one Or just repeat the side who drew at Portman Bloody hell this poll is so tight with the votes, nobody has got a clue what will happen

Tunchev is quality but I don't think Pearson needs to break up the centre back pairing at the moment.
Legend_in_blue Posted 16 August 2009 Posted 16 August 2009 I don't see us conceding a goal. NP has made us difficult to beat. We're rock solid. We'll grind out another draw. to NP for giving us a hardened team, with a solid back and midfield line and the confidence to go with it. We just need a touch of attacking flair. Give it 8 games. At this stage of the season, I'd take 5 points thank you very much.
