maddog Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 MF doubtful for tomorrow night against the blades picked up an injury against Ipswich is he another Darren AndertonLeicesterCity-mad.co.uk A goalscoring England international, Fryatt, i don't think so.
Edmund Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 is he another Darren Anderton What a ridiculous comparison. He has had two minor injuries and he is now the next Darren Anderton?
ousefox Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Birch said on the moan in that he should be ok for tomorrow
Lillehamring Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Birch said on the moan in that he should be ok for tomorrow well, considering there was a very strong argument to say he wasn't match fit before his injury, i can't see how/why pearson would risk starting him
Guest Bilo Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Go on Waggy! If Waggy scores against Sheffield United, the restraining order may have to be extended.
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 17 August 2009 Author Posted 17 August 2009 What a ridiculous comparison. He has had two minor injuries and he is now the next Darren Anderton? How many last time we were in the ccc, theres your comparison
Fosse Boy Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Ah, footballer Darren Anderton. Subject of ridicule due to repeat injuries. Worst comparison ever.
Joe. Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 MF doubtful for tomorrow night against the blades picked up an injury against Ipswich is he another Darren AndertonLeicesterCity-mad.co.uk Great shout, the resemblences are uncanny.
Legend_in_blue Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Perhaps we can sort out a deal to bring in Scowcroft as cover? At least, that's the view of one fan on the moan-in tonight.
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 17 August 2009 Author Posted 17 August 2009 Darren Anderton.What a player. What a crock
Edmund Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 How many last time we were in the ccc, theres your comparison Im not quite sure but I can't remember any serious long term injuries.
Thracian Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 well, considering there was a very strong argument to say he wasn't match fit before his injury, i can't see how/why pearson would risk starting him There's something of a history of it. Leicester seem to have been so keen to use Fryatt ahead of anyone else that he has often looked less than fully fit to me. Sometimes I get the feeling City would sooner use a one-legged Fryatt than anyone who might threaten to take his place, and not just now Pearson's here. Yet Fryatt remains distinctly unproven to me as a Championship player.
MPH Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 There's something of a history of it. Leicester seem to have been so keen to use Fryatt ahead of anyone else that he has often looked less than fully fit to me. Sometimes I get the feeling City would sooner use a one-legged Fryatt than anyone who might threaten to take his place, and not just now Pearson's here. Yet Fryatt remains distinctly unproven to me as a Championship player. so who do we have who has proved themselves more at championship level?
Vlad The Impaler Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 Fryatt will be more than good enough, he's never had a decent run in the side, even when he did he never got any decent service. Give him a chance.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 August 2009 Posted 17 August 2009 I still expect Fryatt to be in the squad for tomorrow, Birch said just a knock so lets all hope he is fine. I'm sure he can cut it at this level.
Jon the Hat Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 so who do we have who has proved themselves more at championship level? Surely the point is if we had a goalscorer prvoen at this level it woulld be justifiable to play him unfit, but in this case is silly.
Guest Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 ELVIS IS THE MAN...BRING HIM BACK. The man for what? A morale boost for the other strikers to let them know that they ain't so bad?
Raj Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 The man for what? A morale boost for the other strikers to let them know that they ain't so bad? Scored for Cheltenham so he cant be that bad!!!
Thracian Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 so who do we have who has proved themselves more at championship level? No-one proves themselves without being given the chance to try and Fryatt has had lots of chances. Our strike force needs some pace and elusiveness. Combining Howard and Fryatt makes us far too slow in that department against quick and competent defenders. We do have quick wingers to help the problem but with Pearson seemingly intent on playing Oakley on the right for much of the time then our prospects of winning away games, rather than drawing them at best, seem limited. Apart from the first 20 minutes we looked almost totally impotent in attack on Saturday and no-one will convince me that Ipswich had a brilliant defence. They looked ordinary. It was simply that we never challenged them at pace or in numbers after our initial sorties. And with players like Fryatt, Neilson, King and one or two others looking less than fully fit our self-imposed handicap didn't help.
Fox92 Posted 18 August 2009 Posted 18 August 2009 So Waghorn may get a chance then. Should be fun with his pace against Matt Kilgallon and Howard 'battering' Chris Morgan.
