A goalscoring England international, Fryatt, i don't think so.

What a ridiculous comparison. He has had two minor injuries and he is now the next Darren Anderton? lol

Birch said on the moan in that he should be ok for tomorrow :dunno:

well, considering there was a very strong argument to say he wasn't match fit before his injury, i can't see how/why pearson would risk starting him

Go on Waggy!

If Waggy scores against Sheffield United, the restraining order may have to be extended.

There's something of a history of it. Leicester seem to have been so keen to use Fryatt ahead of anyone else that he has often looked less than fully fit to me.

Sometimes I get the feeling City would sooner use a one-legged Fryatt than anyone who might threaten to take his place, and not just now Pearson's here.

Yet Fryatt remains distinctly unproven to me as a Championship player.

so who do we have who has proved themselves more at championship level?

Surely the point is if we had a goalscorer prvoen at this level it woulld be justifiable to play him unfit, but in this case is silly.

ELVIS IS THE MAN...BRING HIM BACK.

The man for what? A morale boost for the other strikers to let them know that they ain't so bad? :D

No-one proves themselves without being given the chance to try and Fryatt has had lots of chances.

Our strike force needs some pace and elusiveness. Combining Howard and Fryatt makes us far too slow in that department against quick and competent defenders.

We do have quick wingers to help the problem but with Pearson seemingly intent on playing Oakley on the right for much of the time then our prospects of winning away games, rather than drawing them at best, seem limited.

Apart from the first 20 minutes we looked almost totally impotent in attack on Saturday and no-one will convince me that Ipswich had a brilliant defence. They looked ordinary.

It was simply that we never challenged them at pace or in numbers after our initial sorties. And with players like Fryatt, Neilson, King and one or two others looking less than fully fit our self-imposed handicap didn't help.

So Waghorn may get a chance then.

Should be fun with his pace against Matt Kilgallon and Howard 'battering' Chris Morgan.
