iancognito Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 As the Blackburn fan said, this signing could go either way. That's the same with most signings though b&c. If he bags two tomorrow, we all say what a transfer genius Pearson is, if he has a 10 game spell with no goals, he's a failure and Tilley is right to be a doubting Thomas.
Babylon Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Fucking £1.2 million?! Jesus wept. Those calling him 'prolific' at this level. No. And you get that price from where? 606?
Babylon Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Actually I think you'll find the Merc was the first media source to mention Gallagher, in a report about Kermorgant. Yeah... and they got it from here
iancognito Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Actually I think you'll find the Merc was the first media source to mention Gallagher, in a report about Kermorgant. Really? I've only seen today's report and the two inches of column space they've given his trial spell so far. I apologise to the Mercury and Rob Tanner, I've done you a dis-service.
Legend_in_blue Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 We're gonna be on FIRE tomorrow!!! Looking forward to seeing this guy play.
C-man Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Fucking £1.2 million?! Jesus wept. Those calling him 'prolific' at this level. No. We paid £2.1m for DJ. Now Jesus did weep.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Yeah... and they got it from here Slight correction - I got it from PASOTI via here.
Alexikokopops Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 That's the same with most signings though b&c. If he bags two tomorrow, we all say what a transfer genius Pearson is, if he has a 10 game spell with no goals, he's a failure and Tilley is right to be a doubting Thomas. A "doubting Thomas"? I like it
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Tilley would object if we signed Eto'o as long as it kept DJ out of the team. Let it go now Tilley, let it go.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I think this is a decent signing. The guy is still only 25, and does have Premiership experience. While not exactly having great pace, he does have a good footballing qualities. Although not my personal choice, I am sure he will do a good job for us, once he has settled. We must give him time, and it is only that, which will allow him to show his true worth. Good luck to him.
flanimal Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Not sure about this one, like the Rovers fan said - they laughed when Berner came here, and now he's one of the best leftbacks we had in years. This will be the first club he's played for where he wasn't an understudy or on loan, so you'd expect him to take his chance against Barnsley.
st.ives blue Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Watched him many times for plymouth last season, looked a class act on many occasions in a very poor plymouth side.Should be a very good addition to the squad, good striker of the ball ,good awareness and close control, and can carry the ball past defenders with ease.
eaststandtom Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 hopefully a decent signing however, if the french chap is to sign this might get the alarm bells ringing for me as i have heard a whisper that newcastle are sniffing round fryatt. possibly bollocks but the fact we are about to sign 2 strikers as opposed to 1 worries me that it could be true.
barmy76uk Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Theres a rumour doing the rounds that Fryatt is going to sign for West Brom or forest for £1.5 million before deadline day!
The Doctor Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Theres a rumour doing the rounds that Fryatt is going to sign for West Brom or forest for £1.5 million before deadline day! utter bollocks

James. Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Roll on 2nd September. "Heard a whisper". "A rumour doing the rounds". State a source or bugger off. Get a couple of articles published in the Mercury and all of a sudden you're telling everyone to bugger off. Price of fame I suppose.
keithweller Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 if NFP has seen fit to pay more for Gally than lambert went for, then i guess this guy must really be shit hot. i must admit i havent seen him that much, and thought he was about 30 as he seems to have been around forever! if he gets us 10 this season in a rotating forward line i wont be complaining.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Get a couple of articles published in the Mercury and all of a sudden you're telling everyone to bugger off.Price of fame I suppose. You can bugger off and all.
davieG Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Roll on 2nd September. "Heard a whisper". "A rumour doing the rounds". State a source or bugger off. Would make a good article for the Merc
