He's been offered a two and a half year deal because Howard is going in Janurary or the summer at the latest.

Wouldn't surprise me if Howard dropped a level so he can play every week for a year or two more. He's a sub only here. Fair enough really, I for one will miss him.

Do you know the story of " Big Yann " ?

His leukemia between 14-18 years old, then while his former partners of football academy of Rennes, played in to the french premier league, he took back his formation.

28 years old and he is the first one in the LCFC'training, leaves the last one

He has a big mental strength, and a great right kick

You should let him play a little more, he played 4 games including 2 as a substitute.

After there were positive articles, and they have hidden him on the bench, with the will no longer show him, the matchs were on TV.

They pay with peanuts and a contract for 6 months, they had to negotiate but not too much, not want to outbid

They forget that he came free, just want to remember that Yann has signed his first professional contract at the age of 24 years

In addition the team had very accurate results without him

They do not hurry, but they know exactly his value and he wants to be a great Fox

If you have a good translator : http://www.reimsvdt.com/07kermorgant.htm

Yann Kermorgant : Route of a miraculously cured person

This guy is our best striker for the next 3 years, Pearson and Shakespeare know that

I hope that his agent has made no bullshit

Today at work has been tense. They want someones head on a post, and its mine.

Leicester Mercury if your reading this at least get in touch with me first before you risk my job.

Maybe you could do some real reporting and find things out yourselfs?

Can someone translate this please, It'd be nice to know something/anything about him really.

French was never my strong point at school, not the language anyway. :santa:

With the help of Google, it's not perfect but you get the drift

Having been considered a serious hope of football Breton, he was halted in its progress for four long years. The reason: leukemia. Courageous and motivated, he overcame his illness to resume his march forward towards his childhood dream: to play in Ligue 1.

A boy full of life

"I remember a boy full of life and character," said Bernard Le Pocreau his youth educator AS Ménimur Valves, his childhood club. Yann Kermorgant is not it. There is also a talented young footballer promised a golden future. Sign of its qualities, to 14 years, the child's district of Vannes Ménimur section even includes sport-study Stade Rennais, while RC Lens also has an eye on the young Breton.

But a few months later, everything collapses, his momentum is stopped dead by doctors following a blood test that detects leukemia, serious blood disease. "When you said that to you, football is over, it hurts and it's hard to take. "More important than football, it's a struggle for life and starts.

"What I wanted above all was again part of my youth and my buddies"

In contact with him and his family during the illness, Bernard Le Pocreau admits that "it was a great ordeal for him during those four years. But he got away over time, through his character, his temperament and his willingness to do so. "S'en then follow several courses of chemotherapy and hospitalization in order to" cleanse "the bone marrow affected. (Editor's note: Leukemia affects about 5 000 people per year, including children and the elderly. It gets about 70% remission)

Having fought hard and stubbornly to defeat the disease, cons shortness of breath and fatigue, against the perpetual bleeding problems, doctors restore him the green light in 1999. At 18, Yann then find the joys of football. His passion remained intact, its return on land is for him a second victory. "What I wanted above all was again part of my youth and my buddies.

I lost a little of it all these years and especially the pleasure of good atmosphere in the locker room and on the ground. " Including the lawns of his first love, Vannes Ménimur ...

Back to form

Erwan Maugam, his coach during his return to Seniors, said: "Initially, it was a bit awkward compared to his health problem. We did not know how to handle it. Physically he was pretty down because he had not done sports since his illness. It was rather tame with him to resume the first pleasure and sensations he feels. But it does not take long for the young hope Morbihan found his goal-scoring sensation.

Erwan confirms: "Once the form is returned, it was very effective. He had lost neither his game nor his qualities. Moreover, it has been built as and when a force of nature and a desire to go higher. His name then starts to move in the most exclusive clubs in the West. But Yann raises questions about his football future. Probably too soon in view of his performance, he was already much in demand ...

"It was perhaps a little too much compared to what I was mentally prepared to do. I even played with the Reserve Division in the First District and in fact I no longer found much pleasure. That's why I almost stop everything and get into rugby. "Not so surprisingly, that to impose this gauge (1.84 m, 84 kg).

But rather than radical choice, he decided to persevere and try his luck in the big local club, the Vannes OC: "I felt a great pleasure to finally play it at a good level. It was a childhood dream to move to my town with the greats of the CFA. I was able to meet this challenge at this time. I recovered well physically and I was ready to concentrate again, a little more about football. "

>>> His best goal (Nancy-Reims - Coupe de France - 32th - January 5, 2008)

"Yann has always had a purpose: to be professional"

Since the ascent continued ... After a passage of two years the VOC, he joined the competitor, Chatellerault, to play the rise: "I had a good season and I am revived, with a coach and a team that gave me back confidence. "

So, Yann pointed out by a team in Ligue 2, Grenoble Foot 38, where he joined in 2005. At 24, he finally signed his first professional contract. Erwan Maugan, his coach at AS Senior Ménimur, explains: "Yann has always had a purpose: to be professional. With his illness, he was forced to set aside that idea, but when he returned to the club, after two or three years, returned to the agenda. He was then given the means and he succeeded. "

Bernard Le Pocreau along the same lines: "I sensed in him a hunger to win when he returned. A desire to counter all his curses and prove that nothing was done. "A state of mind which has not left since and now grows to imagine the Ligue 1, his ultimate dream as a child. Bernard jubilant. "I'm happy for Yann but not surprised at all. His career proves that you should never give up ... "

A heart as big as this ...

Her current success has not changed Yann. He forgets not his most difficult past. Therefore, in college sports in Rennes, in the course of License Management, he had already taken the initiative to set up a project for young patients. "I organized an operation in favor of an association of service pediatric hospital in Vannes, at the time I played VOC. I managed to get quite a few shirts from professional clubs to organize a raffle as part of my internship. I collected a nice amount (1500 euros), which made buying games for hospitalized children. "

A generous action which he had at heart to show kids that they can cope. Proof ... Since, in the Alps, far from his native Britain, it applies to break into the pro world to make a name. For him, but not only: "Because I am young professional, it's not easy to get into large operations for now. But when I have a little more experience, I will hold a new action. "

Yann realize how lucky he is not going to forget these young patients. It also follows the fabulous work done by the Association Laurette Fugain (www.laurettefugain.org), which assists in research on blood diseases and inform of donated platelets. And his message to the sick children is clear: "You must really believe to get by. Of course, it's very hard to live but do not stop the blows of fate. Never ... "
