Bert Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Pleased it's finally been done with, and I'm looking forward to seeing him play. We're only really short at left back now. Yes I know we have Chris Powell, but can you really expect him to play 15 games in a row if Bruno gets badly injured?
Finnegan Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Just out of interest... how do people know this is a good signing? Because he's foreign? Aren't we still lacking a bit of pace up top?
Guest Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Just out of interest... how do people know this is a good signing? Because he's foreign? Because we've seen him on youtube
Brainy Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 I always thought his name was Kermogrant. Is it spelt Kermogrant in the thread in transfer talk, or have I/the OS ballsed up?
CosbehFox Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Aren't we still lacking a bit of pace up top? Waghorn's pretty nippy. As Bert says, left-back cover and we're about done for the season. Suspect McGivern deal was give or take done until he had a decent enough pre-season to be in the first team squad for a lot of games. I always thought his name was Kermogrant. Is it spelt Kermogrant in the thread in transfer talk, or have I/the OS ballsed up? It's Kermorgant.
Finnegan Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Because we've seen him on youtube Fair play, he can take a free kick!
Bluefoxtim Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 I always thought his name was Kermogrant. Is it spelt Kermogrant in the thread in transfer talk, or have I/the OS ballsed up? It's definately KermoGANT
Basingstoke Fox Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 It took two trials for him just to get a short term deal. I wouldn't be expecting Ronaldo, Basingstoke, no. Im sure he will prove us all wrong.
MC Prussian Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Just out of interest... how do people know this is a good signing? Because he's foreign?Aren't we still lacking a bit of pace up top? Remember the last Frenchman playing for Leicester? I always thought his name was Kermogrant. Is it spelt Kermogrant in the thread in transfer talk, or have I/the OS ballsed up? Kermor-gant, or a bit easier phonetically, Care-more-gahn Fair play, he can take a free kick! Indeed. Have you seen his overhead-bicycle kicks? It's definately KermoGANT You're missing an rrrr....
Finnegan Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Remember the last Frenchman playing for Leicester? Lilian Nalis? Danny N'Guessan? Max Gradel? Am I supposed to be inspired?
maddog Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 So now we have Kermo and Howard. Waghorn and Gallagher. Plus is we're desperate Dickov. Could be the end of Fryatt then Especially if NP plans to spend the cash on another player or 2.
Bert Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Just out of interest... how do people know this is a good signing? Because he's foreign?Aren't we still lacking a bit of pace up top? Personally - Pearson has had a long look at him and must think he offers something, he wouldn't have signed him otherwise, and he impressed in the reserves the other night too. That's certainly a step in the right direction. He's only on a short term contract, (more than likely due to the fact he's been injured) which if the move doesn't pay off, then we've not lost out on a transfer fee, and we'll actually know that it wasn't worthwile. If he impresses, he can get his contract extended and it's good for both parties. We are still lacking a bit of pace up top yes, but Fryatt's deceptively quick, Waghorn's not slow and neither is Gallagher. Our style of play doesn't necessarily mean that we need quick strikers, although it is always a massive bonus.
Master Fox Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Signing of the summer. So good. Championship player of the year. 25+ goals this season no worries.
Pete_foxes Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 After the hoo-har about people thinking we need another striker (I was one of these people) we now have two, what are the odds someone will now complain now that we have too many strikers ?
fox123 Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Lilian Nalis? Danny N'Guessan? Max Gradel?Am I supposed to be inspired? What does it matter? I doubt you have/will see any of them play in person!
Finnegan Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 What does it matter? I doubt you have/will see any of them play in person! eh?
AjcW Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 What does it matter? I doubt you have/will see any of them play in person! . Is finnegan terminally ill ... I didnt know
fox123 Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 eh? .Is finnegan terminally ill ... I didnt know In other words, Finnegan doesn't go to any games, yet makes comments like the one i replied to.

Does that mean that all his opinions are completely irrelevant then?? I think you can build a perfectly good account of a player on highlights, commentary and match reports alone, how else would foreign fans manage. The point he makes is a fair one, we dont know anything about him, and you still havent actually said which french player you were referring too?
DarkTranquillity Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 Is it right that he's injured at the moment?
Finnegan Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 In other words, Finnegan doesn't go to any games, yet makes comments like the one i replied to. He doesn't? You know... I don't actually live in Wales? And, erm... the comment you replied to was a joke? What's the word, Samilktray? Is it "Fail"?
