Ashley Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Being Hugh Hefner anyone? Hardly a job but you know
MPH Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 I'd just like to own my own buisness.... i'll be moving to the states soon and the plans are afoot to have a log cabin holiday buisness... ok before you laugh, this is the type of thing i mean... not your butlins chalet but i am talking great views, peaceful surroundings... Holiday homes that REALLY make a difference... that people love staying in and ones that make good money... similar to a place like this: 100 mile view cabin The idea being eventually to build up a mini empire of them, live a decent standard of living, offer great cheap deals to my friends and family not that i have thought and dreamt about it much.... But this WILL happen one day....
Fox92 Posted 29 August 2009 Posted 29 August 2009 Most probably a football manager, in that I mean a top class football manager like Mourinho and Wenger, that category. My other dream job is an IT technician at Heathrow/Stanstead/Luton/Gatwick airport so I can also live in London. That is not only my dream job, but the job that I am in line to become after I leave college __ However, I would like to be known for inventing something like Sir Richard Branson who is my idol or Bill Gates etc and this will happen one day as I have invented something and currently creating it at home...
CosbehFox Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 Filbert Fox. Get to act like I do most Saturday afternoons but being in the suit, there would be justification for my behaviour. Easily footballer....I'd love even down the lower leagues at some Manchester ringroad club like Bury or Rochdale.
Flynny Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 Good one shandypants, should i have said Muse or Blur instead I can't think of anyone who epitomises the a rock star more than Liam Gallagher, I was just being silly. I guess I should have known you'd be sobbing your eyes out and been more sensitive. My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
Flynny Posted 30 August 2009 Posted 30 August 2009 Oops I'd forgotten - it's down the street, not across the road. Might come in handy.

What exactly has he invented? All I am aware of in the Richard Branson stakes is that he is a typical business man making his money by crapping on people from a great height, the only difference being he has a public persona which glorifies him as some kind of hero

Plus he is my idol
MPH Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Come on he has invented Virgin who are one of the most successful brands of all time. Plus he is my idol well that's hardly inventing something... that's called STARTING a business. I'm sorry to break it to you but the idea of a brand and having a business had been invented a long time before Sir Richard was invented by his parents. yes i'm feeling extremely pedantic today.....
Fox92 Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 well that's hardly inventing something... that's called STARTING a business. I'm sorry to break it to you but the idea of a brand and having a business had been invented a long time before Sir Richard was invented by his parents. Well, the business has grown and has different department things; Virgin health clubs Virgin holidays Virgin management Virgin media Virgin megastores Virgin mobile Virgin mobile Asia Virgin mobile Australia Virgin mobile Canada Virgin mobile USA Virgin money Virgin music Virgin Nigeria Virgin One Virgin pulse Virgin radio Virgin records Virgin records USA Virgin retail Virgin spirits Virgin trading company Virgin trains Virgin unite Virgin USA Virgin vodka Virgin Cola Virgin Galactic Virgin Wine JetBlue He owns the biggest cinema in the world and has started the most successful wine business in the world. Also bidded for Northen Rock and Cross Country Trains. Has done a lot of things throughout his career and yes you do say he is only a businessman and he only started a business. But how many companies grow this big and have sustained and lasted out for this long? Many fall or don't even reach that stage. Saying he is only a businessman and he only 'started a business' is like saying we shouldn't have idols like Brian Clough, Arsene Wenger and Nigel Pearson because it's called 'becoming a football manager' or we shouldn't love and have idols and want to become the likes of John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ray Davies because its called 'being a superb singer-songwriter' or so on. Sir Richard Branson is my idol, and that is it. I don't think there was any need for the use of CAPITAL letters.

Sir Fynwy Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 Does that mean if everyone gets swine flu in your company its your fault? No it means that if anyone gets swine flu I can tell them to go home, thinking of telling myself to go home now.
Fox92 Posted 2 September 2009 Posted 2 September 2009 This.I met him, total gentleman aswell, right laugh(surprisingly) You can probably add that he will own an f1 team before long(I have a feeling brawn will be virgin gp before long).
