Gaffer Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Sky commentators Pissing me the fook OFF, bias bastards.. City have a good spell/attack = wasted.. poor effort... Toon spell/attack = Promising, Brilliant play... should change his underpants the cock
breadandcheese Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Good first half. Surprised Newcastle are playing a 4-5-1 at home. I know they're short on players but it's pretty unadventurous. Either way, we're looking strong, although I'm not sure quite what Gallagher's role is, and Enrique has N'Guessan pretty much in his pocket. Fryatt's looking sharp, it's just a shame he isn't a brighter footballer, or we could have exploited that opportunity.
casablancas Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Fryatt is playing really really well. he's running hard and definitely putting himself about. His best performance of the season so far, just shame about the last chance he had. The lads are well up for it. Steevi is on fire and i've been impressed with Wellens...AGAIN x
blueincornwall Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Why is the commentator talking newcastle up so much? Leicester have dominated that half and comfortable ini possession where newcastle look like they are trying too hard on the ball and keep giving it away. Come on City... another half like that and we'll be taking home the points and a few more believers!
Guest Mee-9 Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Delighted so far, how many clubs can hold newcastle at 0-0. I would bring waghorn on now, maybe take gallagher off, and adams for howard. Waghorn fights for the ball , maybe on a slippy pitch, the magic can happen.
Jonezy Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 After a shaky start, we actually became the better team; well impressed with this and I think Neilson is getting more stick than he deserves. Shame about the missed opportunities, but hey Nolan missed a big one in the beginning and some refs would have given a pen for Gallagher's handball. Enrique is a bit to good for poor Dany, but Howard and Oakley are well impressive. Shen, are you using Danskespil,dk as well?
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Just wish the sky commenttators would stop going on about poor fecking depleted Newcastle!! Blah blah blah!! The bulk of em on the pitch were 4m+ buys!!
ousefox Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Great game so far. Howard and N'Guessan have impressed me a lot today. Fryatt should have scored!
Guest Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Steve is playing the best game I've ever seen him. Winning everything in the air, working off the ball , dribbling and passing well. Sooper!
AjcW Posted 31 August 2009 Author Posted 31 August 2009 Very similar to the palace posh game earlier, end to end first half. Hopefully will open up even more in the second half. Maybe just maybe we can nick it 1-0. Next goal wins for definite though.
Salieri Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Delighted with that first half performance, certainly deserve to be in front. Shame Matty fluffed his lines at the end of the half, but he's full of confidence and another day that would have flown in the top corner. Great to see big Steve back in the line up, we've missed him for sure. More of the same second half and we WILL nick this.

Guest Mee-9 Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Stevie's a geordie he want's to sink the club he supports.
shen Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Wouldn't Wellens or whoever it was be offside? Nah Fryatt could have put him through easily had he just looked up. Oh well...

martyn Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 People should lay off Neilson as well, as far as I'm concerned he's been solid and his distribution is simple but intelligent.

shen Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Have we scored in the first half in the league this season at all?

SOCCERROO FOX Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Neilson is doing well imo. his positioning has been ok, mainly cos there not attacking with much pace or authority down that wing. But his passing has left a few of our players wrong footed and one of the pass backs almost left ranger clear thru on goal.
General Smuts Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 Very encouraging first half for City there. Perfectly able to build on that, unfortunately with how open the game is the same could be said about Newcastle. Nile Ranger in particular is impressing for the home side. Both sides, N'Guessan aside, have very little width and i think that plays heavily into Leicesters hands. Especially how directly we play with Howard on the pitch. Smith is playing well against Howard but it won't be long before he gets himself a yellow and that will put him off going into challenges i think as well as headers with Howard. Fryatt's chance at the end shows his lack of ability at this level in my opinion. The form he's been in this season and last season too, he should have bagged from 12 yards out. However with 2 players over and Oakley through the middle in far better positions he should have squared it and we would have been 1-0 right before half time in an ever better position to gain 3 points. Unfortunate but im still encouraged. With how close this game is at the moment, first goal wins. Come on Leicester.
chesterfox Posted 31 August 2009 Posted 31 August 2009 I think even my Dad would have passed that over !! easy from the armchair, hey?
